David, Given the choice between the GX or TX, I would definitely take the Grand Highlander with the base AWD Hybrid system and save at least $20,000 up front and then save on gas for the life of the vehicle 🤩 If I was shopping at the world famous Tahara Body-on-Frame Factory Outlet Store, I think the new Land Cruiser would be my top choice. 😉

Very good comparison. I really wanted to hear your thought on GX550 Premium plus vs Overtrail. How much of a different on riding comfort both on road and off road between these two? Thanks for the excellent review and honest personal opinion. I appreciate it! How is the comfort of the seats between the 2 vehicles? What are the differences between each row for the 2 vehicles. My wife and I are in our 70s and suffer from arthritis. We are looking for a comfortable seating vehicle that also rides smoothly. I took from your comments that a smoother ride would be felt in the TX, but I don't want to assume. Thanks.

TX may be more useful, has more space for families and better ride, but so does a minivan. GX all the way. Can't wait for our to get here.

I’m curious to know, did Lexus remove any features from the 2021 or 2022 model years of the LX 570, due to the chip shortages, making it inferior in any way than its predecessors?

When you did your review of tx 350 5 months back you said the measurements are 2.9 mm and 3 mm . Then how it's 3.9mm and 3.8mm now? Curious to know about this. Thanks

Thank you David! I saw someone else review the TX550H+ and it suggested that the Engine would kick on while in EV mode at high speeds. Did you experience this? My thought is to drive on the 407 using battery as at 120-130KM/h I would be using much more gas than in the city where the mileage is better using hybrid. If the engine kicks on at 120ish, it may not provide the results that I am hoping for. Your thoughts please?

I just drove the gx460 and compared to TX same day at dealer. GGX 460 so much more comfortable than the TX; I was actually pretty surprised. Took the GX 60mph on a curved freeway on ramp and handled just fine 20mph over safe speed. Can’t compare to GX550 but 460 for the win for me 👍

I’ll take the GX next year if it comes with a plug-in hybrid and bost the most horsepower and the most torque of any variant. I know I won’t have a third row and that doesn’t bother me one little bit. I just want the best economy and the most towing capability and the most electric driving miles of any SUV that’s a plug-in hybrid. 14:47
