The traction control can be fully disabled. Car needs to be fully stopped and you need pres and hold the traction control button until you get the notification that it is fully off (5 sec.)

The car has a touchscreen, wired Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto. Additionally, it does not compete with an M3, RS4, or AMG C63. Lexus (in their easy to find documentation) positions the IS500 against the M340i, C43, and S4.

I would argue w the displacement and the location in its product stack that it’s an M3 competitor which is further demonstrated by it’s sales numbers. Lexus can position it but it’s my hot take. The infotainment screen truly is dated and most brands left wired carplay back in 2018. It’s a hot take but I stand by my review all day.

@@CarJuiceYT Your hot take is simply incorrect. Interesting how you’d place your ‘hot take’ above the manufacturer’s press release. Displacement notwithstanding, the IS500 is not an F car. It doesn’t have track focused brakes or any additional oil or transmission cooling. Things necessary to aptly compete with the M3, RS4, or C63. Therefore it is designated, by Lexus, as a F Sport Performance. The point of the car is a fun daily drivability in every mode, that is not the case with the F products like the RCF.

The air curtains are functional, there are slots in the fender liner.

Just not the greater mesh around it, the teeny tiny little slot on the side you're right. I was referring to the greater mass vent that doesn't allow flow through.

its not. but its likely more emotional than m3. if you are fine with going from point A to point B 1% slower and want 20% more emotion, this car is likely for you
