But the speed for a V8 is pretty darn slow, for barely 500PS (471PS). I mean, its an underpowered V8. Even a Golf can match the 4.4 seconds 0-100 of the LC500, but yes, you would say, it's not to meant to be driven or compared to like this. At the end of the day, it's a V8, not a straight line 4. Sure it will last forever, but you have to love the slow fastness of this car. Might as well buy a S Class coupe.

@@MatarM0 Not sure if being underpowered means more reliable, but the Japanese do take care of every little detail, which is why they are more reliable. I also doubt the LC500 can corner better than any European car in the same category. Besides, what's the point of buying a V8 if you drive it slow? Might as well get an S Class. A Maybach 4L V8 is a way better option in my opinion. I believe what Lexus offers is a class down from what the Germans offer. If they got their pricing right, then an affordable V8 would be a great bargain.

Former F-Type R owner here and I gotta say the LC500 is by no means a slouch. I test drove a white coupe around a year ago and it took me about one minute of driving it to realize it is a very special car. The exhaust pops on downshifts/upshifts sound even better in person and the build quality is perfect. Nothing feels cheap or plastic and the seats are much more comfortable than I expected. Great car overall and I will definitely add it to my collection one day.

As a former F-type R owner you should know better than to say this car is no slouch, because it truly is. But for the intended buyer this is fine. If anyone drives a 2024 F-type R and then this, and they say they're the same, there is literally something wrong with them. Typical real-world 0-60 on these LCs is literally mid 5s or worse. An F-type R is conservatively 3.5s 0-60, and in reality it's often less than that. Some have it closer to 3s. Those are not the same cars, and don't even get me going about the driving dynamics difference. The F-type R is way more agile. WAY. All this said, I still appreciate the LC for what it is. They are beautiful vehicles in their own right.

As someone who's driven plenty of Lexus cars with the remote touch interface, and my brother owning an IS 500, I fail to see why everyone complains about it. It's so much better than a touchscreen. I've been watching reviews of this car for years and everyone says craziness like "you can't use the remote while driving" or whatever. I call BS, skill issue. Both my brother and I have ZERO issues with it while driving and in fact prefer it to touch screens. Seriously, is there some secret cabal that's trying to push touch screens on us? /j. Jokes aside, seriously, it's a skill issue with the remote touch thing it's really not that hard to use at speed.

After three years of owning a 2021 IS350, I completely concur. Everyone is blowing it way out of proportion, and now Lexus ruined the nice dash design on the LS and LC because reviewers kept whinging about it. Maybe if the integration was better, I wouldn't mind the change, but it looks like they took the incredibly lazy way out, and it looks cheap on a $100k+ car.... unacceptable with how beautiful it looked before.

Yup, I got used to the infotainment controls in my 2015 GS350 after a few weeks. It's actually pretty intuitive. But I understand the complaints; I really hated it at first coming from a 4runner with a touch screen and Android Auto

I have a 2018 and although the new screen is very nice and I love the 360 camera, the infotainment is way better integrated on the older variant IMO. it felt seamless, and the touchpad isnt that bad.. Great video!

I had this vehicle for 1 year and returned it. The vehicle is beautiful, the performance was exceptional...it was the touch screen features that I couldn't deal with. You really need a copilot to change the music, air conditioning etc. I really thought I was going to keep it but after avoiding it for 2 months, I knew it was time for me to pay extra in order to terminate my lease. Lexus please make your vehicle more user friendly!!!!

Your comments sound like you did not own the car and if you did you didn't take time to learn how to use it. Even the pre 2024 cars have A/C controls that are no different from every other car. Changing the radio or apple car play music are physical buttons. Yes the cooled/heat seats and some other controls are somewhat of a pain, you can use voice control to achieve that without the track pad in pre'24 cars.

@@RenanJeffrey Gotta keep in mind, the experience and cost of the car with the otherwise absolute premium interior situation, the screen is a large plastic bezel sticking out of the side of the steering column like a tumor. It LITERALLY looks like they just stuck it in. Its not very well thought out by appearance. The easiest comparison here is to point out the LFA dash; its integrated into the actual dash and fits the design language. This is a plastic screen duct taped to the dashboard here lol. You can even see how they could have implemented with a slightly smaller screen into t he actual dash lines they have already.

I've owned several 911s, and after coming to a point in my life where I'm 65, I've widened up my perspectives on my next car...then I discovered this car. I've known of the LC for a few years, but never really took a look at it. I was stuck with the 911 performance mode...and pretty hard core. Well, now I'm ready for a new ride but just don't need that 911 vibe. At first the Lexus stigma of being the car that old white haired retired people drive, I took another look. I used to hate the LC's grill...then it grew on me. In fact, the more I read, the more videos I viewed, the more I began to seriously consider this car. Now, after seeing your video, I'm closer to saying that an LC is truly my next car. And it will be the 2024. Naturally aspirated engines such as this gem won't last much longer...the tide is turning on these big blocks. So, I"ve turned the corner....now I've got to change my wife's mind...she still loves that 911 vibe. First world problems. Thanks again for the video. Nicely done.

I think I'm the only person that liked Lexus' infotainment system, it was like using a laptop which seemed easy enough for me and you had the added benefit of never having any fingerprints on your screen. Navigating to the seat climate settings is kind of annoying though, even though in my LS500 there's a shortcut key for it.

I rented an LC and drove it ~600 miles all the way to Key West, FL. Incredible car, such an amazing place to spend time in. I'm planning a road trip through Utah soon to visit some national parks and this is the only car I picture myself doing that adventure in. Makes me wish I made content so I could try to get a press car from Lexus whenever I went away haha

I stayed at a hotel that offered two LC500s to guests (you could reserve one of them for a couple hours). Surprisingly, there was always one available so I took one out for an hour at a resort surrounded by hills and mild mountains. Wow, they had to drag me out of this car. Sound system is incredible and what a pleasure to drive. The car is perfect.
