Great review. Will be purchasing this car Spring 2025. Performance wise compared to other vehicles, I get it. At this price point the X5 has constantly been brought up as to why buy this over an X5. I had an X5 years ago and the cost of ownership and depreciation was insane. I’m convinced once you hit 50k miles on a German made car, someone in Germany presses a button and says “that’s it.” Starts bleeding oil and maintenance lights starts popping up left and right. Cost to maintain my old X5 was rediculous. Lexus just does it right and their service, value, cost of ownership and much better depreciation makes this car a clam dunk for me. Thank you!

To be honest I’m pleasantly surprised and happy to hear you say the suspension still has a focus on comfort and a soft nice ride quality! The RX 500h has had my eyes for a while but I’m ready to go for a test drive thanks to your input and feedback!

Good car. Driving it for almost one year. No problems so far. Made almost 6k mile to work and back. One minus. Poor sound dumping. In this class I was expecting better sound insulation. Road noise /listen to above material, can hear every bump/ Wind noise is excessive too.

I feel like Lexus lacks in the performance section and ambient lighting section. But omg the design and reliability.

Any faster than that will get your license revoked in New York City. Lexus can get you higher performance but, it will lose MPG.! Acura is garbage in reliability and BMW is even worse in Reliability!!!

To get the Desired MPG, you have to let the vehicle brake in first. Wife driver hers daily to work, no highway and it is climbing slowly. Right now it is making almost 26mpg with less than 1k Miles on it. She drives hers in normal mode and no concern in trying to save gas, just normal driving. We love this vehicle, it has a little bit of everything, confort, power, is quick and very fun to drive, plus it is one of the best looking SUV out there. If you want to keep this for a long time, please do your first oil change from 500 to 1k miles and then every 5k with a high quality synthetic oil. You need to get those metal shaving out of there from the break in process. Is it me or they still don’t make the K&N filter for it yet?

Hey - that's Kensico Reservoir! The RX500 is a great blend of reliability, comfort and performance. Home run. German Vehicles are unreliable and expensive to maintain.

To listen to high-quality sound, there are places with better possibilities than a car. I appreciate the pleasure of driving; audio is a mere detail.

26mpg is really impressive for how much TORQUE And HP is produces, sure the 0-60 is not EARTH SHATTERING FAST! but for daily use! it's QUICK and SUPER COMFORTABLE and EASY TO DRIVE!!!! and also holds it's reliability

True but then a German 48v inline-6 can get better over 32-35MPG easy with loads more power

The sound if the engine - is what is killing me. Why they dropped these strong and well sounding v6 engines :(

Being pretty rough on that shifter. Not sure it’s meant for those hard slaps. Also, you have to hold left for 2 seconds to get into neutral.

Yes Lexus will always be a Lexus but they are the ONLY premium hybrid suv. Pretty frustrating since Americans are not embracing full electric.

I’m confused. I have a 15k sound system. I’m intimately familiar with quality. This ML is a 2k upgrade? You were not impressed with this 2k system? You feel you’re not getting your 2k worth here, and were simply expecting more for 2k? This is correct?

Over the course of this year I have experienced much better sound systems for less than a $2k upgrade. So yes.

Overall this is not outdated. Only thing I would say needs upgrading is the digital dash.

Same thing for me. A hybridized 6 cylinder should've been what this vehicle does, not a turbo 4. This is the same vibe I get from the new C63s 4 pot.

I have a 2024 rx500h with all the bells and whistles available including ML system. Anybody say ML system sounds good or even just decent doesn't know jack sh*t about audio. I used to work for Pheonix Gold, JL Audio, and Shure. So I know what a good audio sounds like. This is the worst out there. It's even worst than the Panasonic in the non-ML. Definitely not worth the money.

Oh yea now it's worse than a frickin 2 speakers system , i don't know what you are comparing it with,but when i tested it it sounded perfect for me
