Love that! We haven’t been during Maui whale season before and it was amazing just to watch the water from anywhere and see whales doing their thing! We have to go again 🐳 🐋

HA 51. Always my flight to HNL then on to OGG.

First time for us. Loved the flight on Hawaiian Airlines. Would definitely do it again. You fly HA 51 a lot?

@@edandkayan Just about once a year. Ten times now on that flight. You feel the aloha before you even arrive on Oahu.

Wow that’s great! Sounds like you’ve been doing the flight for the past decade! That POG drink on the flight if still my favorite item. I wish they had free WiFi on our flight but it was a great flight nonetheless. Definitely felt the Aloha before landing. 🛬

@@edandkayan They JUST started rolling out the wi-fi, I agree, hopefully sooner than later for JFK. If you have lounge access through priority pass, there is a lounge at HLA where you can get those POG drinks for free while you wait for your connecting flights to OGG.

Right the Plumeria lounge. Watched part of the Super Bowl in there while waiting for our flight to OGG. Nice lounge. Nothing special but lots to drink before your flight. I do wish they had more food options. And it can get REALLY crowded sometimes.

How was the traffic from ka’anapali to the airport? I’ve due to the temp dump it gets really congested.

The traffic wasn’t bad. Most of the time the traffic was going toward Lahaina during the day time. Due to the signals, the detour, and temp dump. We also avoided Major commute times. But always allot extra time before your flight. Since one accident on that freeway could really snarl traffic since it’s one lane in both directions. Hopefully you don’t experience any of that!
