I got a ND2 GT , I traded in my mustang GT 5.0 , my previous cars were two Camaros, This car is like driving a go kart at 12 years old. The exhilaration a fun factor connectivity from driver to car is like a glove* consumer reports * super high ratings * the economy is way more than manufacturer suggest. I always drove a manual. ANTI GENZ , CAR THIEF /CARJACKING DEVICE ❤* buttery smooth shifting . 💪🏽🇺🇸💯

you need a track to enjoy supercars but most people drive on public roads and MX5 is perfect for that. driving a supercar on a backroad isnt fun

Pressing on the dash-brightness stalk causes the temp gauge to show the normal to high coolant temperature range in more detail. It does so by eliminating the low-range temp readings and expanding the high range. Not a big deal in normal driving, but probably something you’d appreciate pushing the car to its limits on the track.

I looked into it before filming and saw that. Just wasn’t 100% sure

I cheated. I picked up my ‘24 GT RF a month ago so I’ve had 4 weeks to poke around the car to figure things out. :) BTW, since you noted the friendly nature of the manual transmission Miata for those new to driving with a stick, it’s also worth mentioning that the car also has hill-hold assist. A wonderful feature for those that might be nervous launching on an incline. Higher-end touring motorcycles have had this feature for a while. Very cool to see it on the Miata!

@@703Speed I have a 2020 Mazda CX-30 Hikari, 4wd, 180 some hp, soul red. It’s a sweetheart, a lovely car and 100% reliable but I decided I needed an Alfa and a Miata. MAZDA! Bring some new colors to this beautiful car other than bland Greys, Whites, and dirt and vomit colors. Enough with the 10 year old Soul Red. Be creative, this car deserves it! 🫤

Ferrari red is 70 years old and still beautiful. Mazda’s beautiful soul red is still probably the most beautiful red and it being 10 year old doesn’t make it any less beautiful.

@@703Speed I agree. I’m not sure what the current crop of bland colors is about…

Thank you for bringing up the subject of color. Color has an influence on Safety too. As you know, asphalt as it ages turns grey, concrete is also grey. Silver and gray cars blend into the pavement. In rain or fog, virtually vanishing. Shades of beige aren’t any better. Small fun cars like the MX-5 and Subaru BRZ need to be offered in fun, bright, loud and proud colors. This is especially important in a sea of SUVs with distracted drivers. Mazda might as well call their primer looking, shades of gray and boring beige non-colors, “Anonymous Asphalt” or “Concrete Camouflage”. 🤷♂️

how does the mx5 compare to a mustang? i know its very different because of power and weight but in the end, if you had to choose one only for weekend fun, how'd you decide and why ?

Hmm. You talking Ecoboost or GT? I would take the Miata over the Ecoboost, but the GT over the Miata. I can't live without a V8. However, because I already have a V8 Camaro - I would add the Miata to my collection rather than a Mustang GT
@andi84895 ай бұрын
@@703Speed GT ! We don't get the ecoboost here in germany. Well, i guess i'll have to test drive a V8 then to know. i currently own a miata RF but the new mustang really gets me thinking. i enjoy the direct driving feeling / handling of the miata very much but with 6 feet, i'm almost always feeling a little cramped...and of course, i love yellow and never had a mustang and always wanted a musclecar since i was a kid.
@Frank_Saug2 ай бұрын
@@andi8489 buddy, if its a daily driver like my brand new Mx5 rf of course it’s way better to have a 4 cylinder than a v8!!!! I commute 50 miles a day to work 5-6 days a week. No v8s as daily driver for me. Just no. And then again, traffic! So I went with an automatic. I know it now the best for Miata but again, daily driver. V8 manual it’s not, at least not for me. Also for under 40k it was this or a civic hybrid. Last 3 words. Sporty, Japanese, convertible.
@heroictesticles68702 ай бұрын
Doesn't the GT cost almost twice as much? Straight line and sound GT hands down, but in the twisties and backroads? Miata will be a far more fun car and you can drive near the limit with less chance of losing the backend like so many mustang drivers do. Also more fun just to drive normally going A to B.
