its probably nothing due to this video, just due to the silly content they've added to the game. I have nothing against gay people but this event is just dumb. it has nothing to do with runescape. its not like gay people aren't welcome to play, why do you need a cape to tell everyone that you have sex with the same gender? just so weird. even the quest doesn't even give you xp rewards, unlocks, or anything other than cake, and pride cosmetics

What I meant is that this is just a small flavour event for a specific audience, and the rewards are just a minor cosmetic to show that part of the community that they are welcomed. So who cares if a minor event like that has just flavour cosmetic loot. However if it were a regular update with a short quest and rewards like that than yea that would be disappointing

If you're going to host an event don't block the parties that find this offensive. Alot of people were muted stating facts about religion and inclusion. When JAGEX started muting people it became an attack and non inclusive. Do better for the sake of osrs.

Thanks for the guide. I'm glad it didn't include any distasteful sexually oriented details or objectives. Still, a little unnecessary and kinda throws off the immersion. & The pride cape genuinely looks terrible (sorry to the artist)

A little unnecessary? A game which, albeit anecdotal, I'd guarantee has a disproportionately higher amount of autistic players that themselves have a higher correlation of being transgender than the general population due to the likely causes being linked in that they are both potentially arising from tweaks on the bodies endocrine system. And you have a reasonably large, and obnoxiously vocal for no good reason (as evidenced by this comment section), group that gets pushed by the likes of Odablock... And Jagex shouldn't go out of their way to make well known that they support a portion of their player base which likely play OSRS to escape the even worse attitudes of people out and about today as this world only moves closer and closer to "traditional values" which never ever existed as people like to think they did but would rather hurt others as they lie to themselves as to why their life isn't how they wish it to be just because others happily choose to genuinely live theirs... Have to agree though I'm a little disappointed with how the capes came out. For reference I'm technically a trans-woman, not that I publicly attest to as much typically, who unlike these idiots which want to quote the bible was up until very recently a practicing Catholic who felt and still would feel at home helping out in their Parish Diocese but as of April had to step away due to a document from the Vatican stating that for simply existing as I am that I threaten my dignity as a human in the eyes of God. Something I believe no one bar God can dare to pass judgement on without effectively usurping the thrown of the Almighty Creator, which is in fact a diabolical action. So no it is events like these that allow me to know I belong in Gielinor during a time when I don't feel like a belong anywhere whatsoever, and that is necessary for my mental well-being as everywhere I turn all I see is the most disgusting comments and to say it takes its toll is really underplaying the turmoil it can bring on at times. Also immersion in OSRS? This game is about as goofy and silly as an MMORPG gets, if I want immersion it is the last MMO I'd look to play with SWTOR being my preferred choice personally.
