2024 Philips 75 "The One" unboxing and wall mounting - How to wall mount ambilight TV.

Philips The One 75PUS8949 mounted on a plaster wall with wooden studs on a Vogels TVM 3605. I mount TVs for a living in Oslo, Norway. I have mounted thousand of TVs and love my job. Ambilight Tvs is not like other Tvs when it comes to mounting them. You do not want them closely to the wall. The gap between the wall should be as far as possible. Enjoy the video. Too close to the wall. The recommended distance is 10-15 cm. So, you need to use a different type of mount with pantograph, which allows extending the TV further by just pulling it out.

Hi. This was true for the older models, the new models have better light so no need for that anymore.

Hi i have a philips 65OLED809. My wall bracket is mag 3,5 cm. And i read everywhere it should be 10-15 cm does it really matter in your opinion?

Hi. Yes. But it comes down to your own preferences, the further away from the wall the more ambilight you get.

Hi. They are leftovers from earlier mountings. I always keep the stuff I know i might need in future mountings. But if you show the video in a hardware store they probably have something you could use.

Hi. That is one of the big questions in life. 🙂 I always help the costumers with that issue. It depends on a bunch of factors, the most important one is how far away you sit from the TV. So its different from home to home.
