The key words you say Pete is “pre-season”. We shouldn’t be worrying about performances just trying out things and seeing how fit they are.

I agree Pete. Lots of EPL transfers to happen still in this window. The Euro’s have put negotiations back. Liverpool haven’t even done any business and we all know it will come. Also Unai will have accessed what the squad lacks and will be adding a couple more pieces for sure. UTMV!

Great podcast as always Pete, but I must say...I am still.... worried about our ability to defend, not just set pieces 🤔 We had more than 60 goals put past us in the Premier League alone last season, and our personnel in defence hasn't changed much at all. UTMV

Enjoy the lakeside retreat Peter and hopefully you can match my swimming pool dive when Ollie got the second against Arsenal last season! Currently in Chile, I will be back with Mum, 92 soon, for the West Ham game but before then I have four Castro football games to watch in their own Villa Park here on Chiloe Island. With two Villa shirts with me, both needed because it is FREEZING here I will be supporting the local team in a stadium surrounded by bird graffiti. Had the privilege of watching school football games a few days ago, some of the teenage girls would be good for our academy. Been great fun to laugh with store owners here who sell certain predictable football shirts with the aim of promoting the MIGHTY Villa. Now to show my hotel owner the mighty HOLY TRINITY! Villa had the better teams Villa had the goals, though Athletic's second goal was not bad Ramsey, Jaden and Archer scoring was a bit of a fairy tale. Not a great clearance from Cash but McGinn had lost his man.
