It is not fast but it is a big truck.. Coming from F350 DRW 6.7, I was somewhat surprised on how slow the 2023 Ram 3500 Limited HO 6.7 Night Edition is compare to Ford. However, it is lot more comfortable with Auto leveling suspension and much quieter turbo. Inside cabin is much more ergonomics than Ford. I waited for 10 months for 2023 F450 Limited and do not regret on my final decisions.

@@charlesnicholson3189 For me, Ram 3500 is more like a car comfort and Ford dash looks better than Ford. Ram 3500 is harder when driving through tight spot due to visibility. My main thing was TPMS on 3500 and it rides smooth @80-90 mph.. My F350 Lariat was also great truck with TPMS, but it did not have the led headlight. They are both great truck.. You should be able to get 7-10 off msrp on both.

Ram was so ahead come 2019. Best interior, most torque, competitive pricing. Now, most expensive, slightly ahead interior and absolutely demolished in torque. I really hope they have something big under their sleeve.

The Ram Limited interior is still really good, that said I'd give the Denali Ultimate interior the crown.

To be fair, anything over 800 lb/ft of torque is more than enough. The most you can tow without a CDL is 26000 lbs (truck and trailer combined) which translates to about 18000 lbs of trailer. Diesel trucks have been towing that weight in the form of massive 40+ ft 5th wheel campers since the mid-2000s. Torque numbers these days are just for bragging rights.

2022 Ram diesel 3500 limited owner........the aisin transmission has a mind of its own as shifting patterns generally are variably quirky and can sometimes affect your speed when passing at highway speeds so be ready in case it decides to bog (aka; turbo lag/transmission lethargy ) along instead of getting out and away quickly .and starting up a hill it can up shift dropping the rpm down to 1000 rpm instead of spooling up the turbo for a burst of power it will almost sit there barely moving. you can outsmart the shifting pattern bungling by anticipating what the road ahead will do and use the throttle to take advantage of the turbo/ engine response in relation to the electronic control transmission and you get used to it and shut off the rear positrac for better engine / transmission response driving in town stop and go situations. if the transmission gets it right and uses the engines / turbo power curve it moves very swiftly. it is a truck after all to move huge amounts of stuff with the longbox and does it well 🤗

I agree on the HO. If it’s HEAVY towing you’re after, get a 3500 with the HO. If you just need a little more confidence towing lighter or only tow occasionally, just get a 2500 with the standard output for better on road character all around.

I bought a 2022 Limited Longhorn 2500 Cummins and absolutely love this truck. It had 12,000 on it when I bought it and it was still North of 70K. Yes, these trucks are not cheap. I had no reason for a 3500. 2500 is plenty of towing power plus being in Cali, they nail you in registration every year. It goes by weight and miles.

I factory ordered a loaded up Laramie, only to change the order to a Limited when the price at the end with options came out to a 1.65% difference. It'll be this color, almost same options sans sunroof (more payload and no hole in the roof). Going to keep it until it's wheels fall off given present pricing and a the move to electrification. I think this engine with the medium duty Aisin gearbox is probably the most reliable powertrain in an HD truck segment right now. Torque and horsepower aren't everything. The #'s this has are plenty for a single wheel truck, no different than its competitors. Thanks for the video.

The Cummins have been having trouble since they switched to hydraulic lifters. There is a KZbin channel where 4/5 of his new Rams have had their engines replaced. Sub 100k miles. Especially his 2022 model years. All HO Cummins. Edit: The channel name is PD Diesel Power

Honestly , the dirt is a turn off. Could have washed it before you reviewed. This is exactly the truck I’m interested in for fifth wheel. PS it probably bogs down without towing because you have it in tow mode

I want to know why the 5500 Laramie has more options than the 5500 Limited. How hard is it to make the same package across all lines? It's the same cab. But with a 5500 you can't even get a 12" screen with the Limited, only the Laramie. No black options. The Laramie even gives you the option for a high mounted stop lamp with camera, the Limited? Just a light. No fabric options, and Laramie gets leather and better trim, if you want it in the Limited it's more. The Limited is even more than the Laramie, even after you add 20K in options to the Laramie to give you more things than the Limited that is not even an option. They are backwards on that!

Buying one of these brand new would be a genuinely dumb purchase. Just get a CPO one a couple years old and save $25-30k, it’s literally the same truck. Still expensive but at least it’s not $100k.

The general exterior design dates back to 2010. That'll explain why it looks really plain. All that has been done to it after all these years is a facelift.
