The interior seems a lot nicer than the Chevy/GMC chassis cab options. It's good to see Ram embrace towing on these bigger trucks. Wasn't GM recommending against towing with the 55/6500 trucks?

I’m looking to buy a Reg cab 5500 SLT for a Hook lift build and am trying to decide if gas or diesel is best. The gas has a higher payload rating than the diesel, so I’m wondering what the advantages of diesel would be? I’m not looking to tow often if at all, all the weight will be carried on the back. Recommendations??

Go with diesel higher priced fuel but better mileage and most passenger trucks with diesel engines you can get a computer tuner/ detuner from an aftermarket source for better mpg or turn up the power for heavy loads in the mountains.

A truck built for work.... GM still hasn't updated their 4500/5500s to new T1 Ford and Ram are only ones.....but a base WT would do the job for work though Tighter steering radius

If it ain't broke don't fix it bud. You can just increase your steering radius with aftermarket control arms. Those balljoints are gonna shit the bed at 50k no matter what new pos you're gonna buy. 😂
