Really nice haul Chris, quality over quantity. If you’re able to do a hobby shop hop to Grzybowski’s, I’m a member of a modular train club called the Anthracite Hi-Railers. It’s about 15 minutes away from their store. We’d be happy to open up the display if you’d be interested.

Thanks for this quick review of the show, Chris. It appears to have been another great turnout. Evidently, you didn't miss much not going on Saturday. Dave (dagryffyn) said a lot of vendors were packing up when got there. Thanks for showing us around.

Great to catch up at the show, glad to see you ended up with an armful! I stayed true to budget, one box car for the trip - although my Dad filled the back of the Jeep to make up for it!

Glad to see the PS3 PRR H10s I sold to Evan got some great runtime on the layout! That is a great-looking unit.

Proper running the elephant ears while pulling the excursion passenger cars! UP always ran those on challengers in passenger service so it’s fitting to have them on your 4019 Big Boy!! 🎉

Thanks for sharing Spring York Chris. Amazing amount of items in just the orange hall! I imagine it can be overwhelming for newbies. Gotta say I love the NYC Empire State Express set running on the layout. Absolutely stunning 😍

Nice video Chris. I'll be at York in October, I just go once a year as I live in California and have to fly there. Can you do us a favor and make any comments on the whistle volume of your 4019 Big Boy. I just recently purchased the same engine and though the sounds are awesome, the whistle sound is awesome. It is deep, throaty with lots of bass. This issue is it's not loud enough. The chuff volume when the engine is running drowns out the whistle volume. There is a post on the OGRR forum on this, other users have noted this as well. So please let us know. Keep up the good work Chris!

I went on Saturday and must say I’m disappointed that so many dealers were packing up at 10:30am..
@johnandrus39017 ай бұрын
Yeah, that was a problem, for sure. It's an early day, so I don't know why they need to start packing up before 1:00 or so.. Thankfully, I found what I needed on Friday.
@johnandrus39017 ай бұрын
It was an excellent show. Unfortunately, they didn't have the AMT cars that I needed, nor the K-Line O81 tubular, though. I was chatting with Ray and mentioned that I couldn't find K-Line O27 covered hoppers and he sent me to Grzyboski's. They had what I needed. Overall, a fairly successful show for me. I'm already looking forward the Fall show and your next video.

Hey, take it from me as I went to my first one last year save up your money and do it, at least once. Since I've done well for myself at local shows and hobby shops I never really felt the need to go to the York show but last year I "bit the bullet" and did. It was a lot of fun! Two bits of advice, bring cash and a GOOD pair of walking shoes, you'll need both!

Very nice video. Thanks for doing these. Are MTH Rail King rolling stock similar in size to the Lionel compressed scale rolling stock? Are the inter-modal cars and containers of similar size? My layout is built around Post War and Post War remakes. I use tubular track and 031 turnouts.
@wayneantoniazzi27067 ай бұрын
While not a "One-to-One" perfect match (No manufacturers compressed-scale rolling stock matches perfectly with anothers) they're both pretty close to one another. With freight cars it's not a problem, the glaring differences are usually with passenger cars. Any any RailKing rolling stock will have no problems with 031 track.

Weird they put certificates for a pre owned engine

If you're talking about the engines from Chris's (RBP Trains) collection remember Chris has a VERY popular KZbin channel so for anyone buying something out of his collection a "Certiificate of Authenticiy" is a very nice to have item. A piece of paper saying "This Engine Was Part Of The RBP Collection" may not add to the future value of the piece, but then again it just might. Anyway it's a nice way to say "Thank You" to the purchaser. Hey, on his last video i suggested to Chris he sign the boxes!
