Howdy. Nice review, however - I am NOT a fan of these new engines. WHY is Toyota caving to European “standards”. Smaller engines with a turbo. Ugh. Folks - pay attention - eventually ALL TURBOS GO OUT!!!! Let me repeat that - ALL TURBOS GO OUT. So, if you buy one of these instead of a 2023 that you can still find on lots, then go ahead and start putting away about $50/month ‘cause eventually, it will go out. And turbos cost at LEAST $2000 to replace. Don’t get one of these. I have a 2021 TRD Off-Road 6-speed manual. 55,000 miles My wife has a 2001 Taco with 282,000 ( with the original clutch 🙂). If you want one of these, you’ll think of me when you’re haven’t I fork over $2000 (minimum) to replace the turbo ‘cause (News Flash) - Toyota ain’t gonna do it for free.

This Terra color has grown on me so much. This thing is almost perfect, its a shame the ISO Dynamic seats aren't option. They seem gimmicky (although I haven't tried them) and they take up so much space from the back seats. You also CAN'T recline them at all, which is just B.S. I think the TRD Pro looks better than the Trail Hunter. But I'm considering the TH so that I'm not stuck with the seats.

On my 3rd Tacoma Limited (2023). Love it but It will be my last new truck. The 2024 Limited $52k+ price I am hearing is ridiculously high! You can keep it along with the 4 cyl.

The gloss black is horrible guarantee it will be matte black for the mid cycle refresh just like 3rd gen ditched the chrome mid cycle

Hmmmm not as super high tech as you think. Toyota has been making these hybrids and turbo engines for a long time. New power plant yes but give it about 2-3 more years and they should be very reliable trucks. But being realistic is it going to be as DIY friendly? Nope. And will it last 20+ years without barely any maintenance and only oil changes done to it? Nope again. I think 10-15 years though with no problem it’s probably what I think will happen. Based on how many high mileage Prius there are on the road still with original battery and power plant

The gloss black JC Whitney oversized wheel well guards look terrible as well as the completely silly gloss black things on the bumper ends to make the rear bumper useless with the tailgate down. But the color and general design of the sheet metal looks good.

I saw the new trd pro in person. Looks great inside out. Toyota rep said those iso shocks on the seats are permanent and cannot be removed. Alls pros will come that way. Toyota will offer them on other models in the coming years, and only then make it an option on the trd pro. They take up more space than just a couple inches. You better get used to them if you want the pro.

Nice looking truck. Going to be $60k+ easily. Going to be fast and extremely capable off road of course. I’d never buy it though. I learned first hand when I bought the 22 redesigned Trd pro tundra, it had rattles galore, wind/ door noise, peeling decals on the A pillar and Toyota could not fix the alignment after bringing it in under warranty twice. I sold it after a year and made more than I paid for it so all good. I don’t think the market will allow this now and wouldn’t want to be stuck beta testing this new Tacoma.
