Hi Carolyn. Thank you for the parade. No new 12-part series would give you more time 😂. Am seriously considering With the Needle 2, but would only stitch the top half. I'm going to ask Painefree if they'll release a mini of the Autumn chrysanthemum block. I love it! My January new start will be Farben des Wassers (colours of water) - my first silk project. Have a wonderful Christmas with your family! x 🎄⚘️
@czookstitch48828 күн бұрын
LOL I am a sucker for the 12 part series, aren't I?? That would be cool if Paine Free Crafts could do a mini for you. Be careful with silks - they are lovely and you'll never want to go back to cotton! (Actually, I often prefer cotton because it's a bit less finicky than silks, but the silks do feel so good in your hands!). Happy new year sweet friend!

Wow that was awesome Carolyn and now I’m sad I can not find the threads and embellishments for the Victorian Sampler 🌲 tree😢 I must find it now it’s gorgeous! I do think the tree lends itself well to any embellishments you can find/have on hand. So don't despair if you can't find the finishing kit for it - use what you have or what you can easily source and it will be equally as beautiful!

Loved seeing your WIP Parade! We have several projects in common. One is Santa's Village. I'm suffering from the same feelings you are. I started mid-year and had intended to stitch one per month and finish it in a year. Then, I made a trip to a fabric shop where they handed me the fabric they had dyed at my request for the project. Now I'm torn whether I should restart and just FFO my one cottage separately. UGH! Let me know if you come up with a plan for it. 💜 - Laura :)

I enjoyed your wip parade, we have a few wips in common. Your G. Léger looks amazing in silks. I am doing mine with DMC, 1 over 1 on 32 ct lugana. It will be on my year of wips for a finish in 2025. Love a wip parade! Thanks for doing it while being so busy getting ready to go. What would you do your full coverage Cardinal cottage haed if not 18ct? Love them, those montages call to me for sure but hey are huge and my living room/kitchen is 17ftx14 and has cupboards and outside door, a big window and 2 doorways no not a lot of wall space. I use my halls but they only hold so many lol safe travels and again Merry Christmas 🎉
@czookstitch48828 күн бұрын
Honestly, I think you could stitch the montages, sew them together, and use it as a bedspread/blanket - they are that big! LOL!! I would prefer to do all of my full coverage on a 32ct (yes, even bigger than 18ct) just for the ease of starting threads - i don't love piercing the middle of Aida fabric for the pin stitch, but I'm not going to restart at this point!
@cindygaudet139028 күн бұрын
@ yes anything that has half stitches I would do on evenweave. Daughter just decided which stocking for the baby. Man! Full coverage demensions! Lol guess full coverage fb be stocking lol

Instead of joining every sal that comes along, perhaps a “shop my wips” for a similar theme and stitch along but on a wip vs new start. Someone wants a birthday sal, join in with a previous birthday project of your own. Gift-a-long (work on projects intended to be a gift for someone.) Or for every 2 finishes you can start something new. (We all know this doesn’t work, but one can still try. I had 19 finishes and 16 starts in 2024…so I did wip down… 😆) Perhaps make a sal for April for a weather theme. You could pull out purple rain & some of your snowy kits. Plus April showers bring may flowers so flower projects could add in for more spring stitching.

Loved seeing your WIPs! A thought - maybe you should UFO the Mirabilia and Corbet projects. One year soon you could choose a month and give each of them a week of work? You didn’t mention any other plans to UFO other projects but you could apply the same plan with any other UFOs. In knitting we have WIPs, UFOs and sleeping projects. Maybe you can use the sleeping term for your projects that you don’t p,an to work on any time soon and work on including some of your sleeping projects the next year. I plan to select 6-12 projects to work on in 2025. I need a smaller number of projects, I think, to see enough progress to keep going. 😊 Happy new year.🎉
