I own this car, and this review IMO is pretty close to reality. The mechanics are good except the brakes that tend to bite too hard at low speed. Also some of the control programming needs refinement like windscreen wipers and lights control are below standard and should be fixed in a software update. The interior is very good, and the space inside is similar to other mid size SUV's.

The car is good enough. Wether it's competitive or not, it's all about price.

LFP BLADE BATTERY say 66kWh gross will use 64kWh. There is NO charging limit to LFP it is a decision against degradation. 170kW is fine and fits BYD's own charging stations which for years they made for other companies but now in Brazil they are rolling out their own network (should be open to all EVs as is the China brand habit so not a closed network). They promise the network will be renewables powered. Across the world there is still more people who consider real leather more premium. In China they do consume a lot of beef so they may as well use the hide that is a sustainable thing to do.

Grandma is not interested 0:42 😅 It is great that BYD is delivering vegan interiors, animal materials are not sustainable in any way possible, as is eating death isn't good for anyone's health. We are beyond time to end this disturbing animal suffering and exploitation. Would you use human skin in your car? If not, don't use animal skin also, they are mammals like you, with families and the same core sentiments as humans.
