@ayushmalpeddi27932 ай бұрын
Disagree. I do prefer the old DESIGN but the new one has some major benefits IMO. First off the OLED makes these new screens some of the nicest to use and look at in any car. Mercedes Hyperscreen and BMWs latest stuff look cheap when you start using it because it's really obvious at night it's a cheap LCD and the bezels are massive. Genesis did a good job of making the bezels minimal. Second this screen is technically integrated better into the dash in respect to the old center infotainment. Third the new steering wheel is REALLY nice. It's the perfect amount of sportiness and luxury look blended together. Its two tone look and the materials used are perfection. They did get rid of the 3D thing but that's a bit of a gimmick and for a decent amount of people it hurts or bothers to use. A nice OLED and a HUD is better for most people. Fourth the new interior has much improved RGB ambient lighting and is more impressive. Design I do like the old one more but the new interior is still excellent and much better looking than the tacked on BMW screen, or the cheap LCDs in Benz Hyperscreen with massive bezels, or Audis stuff which also has massive bezels and odd shapes/dash like in the all new A5 sedan hatchback thing. I think as long as they are selling to the general public in decent numbers it makes sense to continue reviewing them. It’s not about good or bad, but reviewing products that people are spending their money on.

But what’s the point of reviewing a mediocre car? Doesn’t matter if it sells The Mitsubishi mirage surprisingly sells well but Alex never reviewed it and for good reason: it’s dreadful in every aspect Same thing applies to Lexus. Theres a good reason they’re considered the Mitsubishi Mirage of luxury brands If I were Alex and asked to review a Lexus I’d take it and garage it for a week and pretend that I forgot to review it because let’s be honest: I could spend the time I would have allocated to review a Lexus on something more interesting and attention worthy

Lexus is best selling Asian brand man. Genesis is what infiniti and Acura need to worry. Your statement of Lexus products are not competitive is not valid if your never drive one or own one. I have a 2020 Genesis g90 ultimate and I can tell you it’s not better than my 13 LS460L that I had. The G90 is quieter but LS460 had better ride and stiffer build quality. Both brand are extremely competitive and competition are good to bring better of company that benefits us consumers. Let me ask you. What car you drive?

@@naveenthemachine I made the point clear. It absolutely matters if it sells because that is what is popular or at least getting people’s hard earned money so would be a disservice not to cover such a product to highlight what is good and bad about it.

@@lucashuang10nah. Lexus isn’t. They outsell Alfa Romeo Porsche and bmw but does that make them more fun or more luxurious or more customizable or more comfortable or more powerful? No it doesn’t
