Love these videos. And love my 2025 Ioniq 5 Limited RWD that I bought yesterday! It feels so liberating to no longer drive a Tesla (bought in 2019) and be associated with Musk. If other Tesla owners are lurking, I encourage you leave the dark side and drive an Ioniq.

A super video that was most helpful to this new owner of a 2-week old 2025 IONIQ 5 RWD Limited. I've watched dozens upon dozens of your and other KZbin videos, including more than 100 short ones from Hyundai how to do this-and-that, as part of my buyer research over the past several weeks -- and like a crazy man, just finished yesterday reading all of the IONIQ 5 manuals, making notes to myself of settings to try or adjust. I learned new practical hints from this video of yours that caused me to go out to my garage and switch a few settings before my next ride. Your style of course, but practical and "what this means in English" comments, help differentiate your channel from others. Thanks for that and all you do. I look forward to your next video whatever it may be. Here's another vote for one on native Navigation. I always have, and still prefer Apple Maps, but with Hyundai not providing the integration to SoC, weather, and charging station availability like Porsche and a few others have started to do, I look forward to your practical 2025 Hyundai Nav video when you get to it. Otherwise, my early impression is Hyundai did a great job with CarPlay integration compared to so many other brands who avoid it or do the minimum possible -- love the map and routing data on my HUD when I use Apple Maps! I've tried ABRP, but am not sold having to keep an OBD2 scanner running all the time -- even with it on a physical switch I can turn off when I'm not in the vehicle (assuming I remember to switch it off and on.) The lack-of OBD2 bluetooth security worries me, so I think the OBD2 has already become a toy, and ABRP will be relegated to more of a planning and estimating tool like my old days with my first EV --a Model S (2015-19)-- than a practical tool used on roadtrips. I'll see also what you have to say, including hopefully how Tesla Superchargers and other charging options fit into use cases when one is out and about needing a charge along the way. I don't have traditional range anxiety, but I'm a planner that "must" have a rough idea of what's ahead, where charging may be, and some alternatives before I jump in my EV for a long roadtrip. So far I find the overly simplistic maps Hyundai is using lacking compared to Apple and Google or even ABRP, and the Bluelink app integration back to the Nav in the IONIQ just isn't as good as what I've known and prefer. I'm likely stuck with Native Hyundai Nav being used for true roadtrips, and keep Apple Maps for daily use as it ties to everything else I do in my life (contacts, calendar, messaging, etc.) Anything you can offer in a new video or more to make integrated Nav better in a practical sense, I'm ready for it. Thanks in advance!

I was watching this sat in my 2025 Ioniq 5 'Ultimate' here in the UK and half these menus were completely different to mine. You sometimes had setting i didn't (like the speed warning offset controls), and sometimes were missing extra settings I had (like automatic heated seats and steering wheel based on climate settings). Other times our settings were similar or in different places and called different things... so confusing! It would be great to get a video on the software differences between countries and what is not available in certain regions if you you can find out from Hyundai? I've also noticed some of my settings like turning off the speed limit warning would reset back to 'on' every time i restart the car.. So frustrating! Thanks for the video, super interesting yet puzzling to see so many differences.

Another new 2025 Ioniq 5 owner here, this is helpful so thanks! So far this is a perfectly designed car IMO. Only issues I have and wondering if you know there's a fix for: 1) rear camera often gets water droplets or dirt on it that obscures the view. IS there a quick fix besides wiping it by hand each time before i get in the car? 2) With windshield wipers in high or low mode, they don't switch to intermittent when you come to a full stop (e.g., at a traffic light) For some reason having the wipers going hectically while I am at a full stop puts me more on edge. Is there a way to change this through settings so they calm down at a stop and resume when you start moving (most cars I've driven do this)?

Has reading received text messages improved over the '22? I find it useless when it says "Call from five billion, eighty five million, five hundred and fifty one thousand, two hundred and twelve". It's especially annoying when it's message chain with six people and it tries to read six telephone numbers that way. Also, in my '22, when a text message arrives, sometimes it gets confused about which contact the message is from. Do you detect any improvement there?
@TheIoniqGuy10 күн бұрын
I don't use any of the cars features for calls or text messages as I'm always in apple carplay and that handles it. If you are like me, you can turn off those features so that it only happens in carplay or android auto.
