a couple of points. 1. almost no one is considering a corvette vs an LC500. more likely the 911 or BMW . 2. who in their right mind would want the hybrid...the engine/exhaust note are what closed the deal for me. I have had mine for 2 years now and it is my favorite car that I have owned. 3. Who is getting 10% off of an new LC??? Finally awesome to give Christ a shout out in the car video!!!

I can’t imagine someone driving these like a Porsche or corvette with how beautiful this car looks. This is definitely a chill cruiser where you take your lady or guy on a roadtrip along the coast.

I guess I got lucky. I bought a 2021 LC500 Convertible, White on Red, brand new. When I purchased mine in July of 2021, I fully financed it for 72 months @ 1.9% APR, from Lexus. It’s a decent note every month, but I’m more than half way done with the payments. A little longer and it’ll be fully paid for and I’ll continue to enjoy it for many years to come. At least that’s the plan for now.

The only thing i feel holding the LC back is the 10spd. If it had a fast shifting ZF 8 spd, I think it would be perfect. The other issue or not, is that there is bmw 8 series with a V8 TT and Mercedes AMG.

@@touayaaj84I have an X3 M40 with the ZF 8 and while I think it’s an all around better transmission, but the 10speed does shift faster. The NA V8 sounds light years better than turbos by bmw and merc.

@@alan_is_insane2343 10spd does not shift faster than the zf. Also, with BMW transmission, XHP makes a software to custom tune the zf. I run xhp on my Supra.

@@touayaaj84haha. You’re right. It’s 80 milliseconds faster. 😂 I own both and the Lexus does feels faster probably due to the way better sounding V8. B58 is in my m40 is an amazing motor though. The PDK on my 911 gts crushes both by a large margin.

I also prefer the touch pad and subdued screen with the classic analog clock. The 2024 touchscreen literally looks like an afterthought. There are tons of gently used C8s available and they're relatively cheap considering.

Last model year for Lexus LC 500 along with the 2UR-GSE, my guess. Because in 2026 the new LFR is going to be released which will replace the RC F GT3 car ensuring the death of Lexus's last V8.

Great content. I have the Acura integra type S and so far super happy (maintenance codt, reliability, driving engagement, etc) however i love the lc500 for exactly the reasons you mentioned here and i am back and forth if i should trade for the 24/25 LC500....thoughts?

@@pedrot1152 I would only do it if you can sell your Type S for a good amount of money and not lose much otherwise, I’d say keep the Type S that’s a very special car and you did say you’re happy with it. Maybe just Test Drive an LC in the meantime so you know what it’s about

I have a 2019 LC Touring (E6 Carbon aero, 21 Advan GTs, chrome delete), and after owning a heavily modified RCF, ISF, and few other Lexuses, I believe I can say with certainty that LC is the one to have. I get thumbs up everywhere I go. This car and my 98 Toyota Soarer in Royal Sapphire Blue get more looks than any car I have ever owned, and I have owned a lot.

You will never get a new one for 10k off; never. It’s a premium car with very little competition. The Z06 isn’t a competitor. The LC is built better, has phenomenal interior & exterior styling, & the sound that V8 makes is epic. Plus it will be incredibly reliable. Another positive is that it’s a car you won’t see at all; I purchased a ‘24 coupe from a Denver dealer and mine was the only coupe they sold all year & I had to order it.

i'm in the market for a ride. this car is insanely gorgeous. what does it feel like to drive? i know it's like 4300lbs. does it feel that heavy? the straight line acceleration, what can you compare the LC500 with so that i can get a sense. thanks!

If you can get a chance to test drive one def do so if you've driven or owned some other performance cars like BMW, Audi, Etc and found yourself getting bored of those vehicles, you will fall in love with this. You can drive the LC for years and not get tired of it. The heavy curb weight combined with a proper chassis/suspension setup allows the car to just dig into the tarmac and you genuinely "feel the money" as you operate this car around town and is completely unlike the RC F or GS F. This car feels fun at 35 mph as it does at 135 mph. Stability and confidence also go along way with this car. I had the performance coupe without the rear wheels steer so I can't comment on the rws function. But you can turn the traction off in this and just slide this car in turns and always know exactly what the car is doing to bring the car back. 2021 and up LCs ride significantly softer as well I thought my 2020 had the right amount of stiffness but oh well I would still go new if I can. All this while being shrouded in one of the best modern day car interiors and audio systems. Honestly, even I find myself wanting to buy another one and that is after driving new cars like the C8 Z06. Problem I've noticed with some of the vettes is they sound great from the outside but inside you don't quite get the same effect, don't get me wrong the new Vettes are still phenomenal. I just love how the LC translates it's mechanical NA V8 engine noise into the cabin so natural and satisfying to bang off the rev limiter and to hear the intake as well. It's not the fastest thing in the world and you will never be blown away or pinned into your seat regarding acceleration but I know it will put a smile on your face due to sound, quality, and how you can use almost 100% off this car on the street.

@@BayAreaMan ah gotcha makes sense yea see if you can td the LC just to see what it’s about but regarding a fun 4 door, I know this might not be what you’re looking for but I really love Mercedes AMG they have a ton of character and I’ve seen some dealers offer crazy discounts on the GLE 63 upwards of 25% off which is unheard of for full blown AMGs check out the Leasehackr forum for more info if you’re interested

Dang... so the LC is basically an old man's car. 😢 😂 I still like the Vette and never truly considered the 911. As you stated you have to go wayyy up the ladder to get the features. I would get the Z06 if I was in the maket for another coupe. Truthfully, I would get a pickup to replace the LC.

Would you get the LC or an Amg gtr? I know they are two very different vehicles. Unfortunately, I’m at this fork on the road. I’m aware you alway tell people to buy the Porsches, bmws and amgs because they won’t understand or appreciate the LC. Would you rate the Amg gtr higher than the LC? I know you mentioned you ranked the gt4 rs higher. Unfortunately, I don’t want have a Porsche. There are just too many. I have seen many gt3rs’s, gt4rs’s, a diarrhea of 911’s, m8’s, Aston Martin’s, a handful of Lc’s but never seen an Amg gtr on the road. I reside in NYC/NJ/VA and Florida.Thank you! I would appreciate your thoughts on this ?

Maybe with a good set of tires the AMG can be good but the one I tried was just stiff and undriveable with poor grip so it was twitchy and not in a good way. I would then hop into the LC and could immediately feel back in control and the car would be quieter with a more solid interior. I never tried the R version only a regular AMG GT but that was my experience comparing the two cars.

I was at the same fork in time, two years ago! My wife and I spent a few days test driving each car, at the end the car that was the most enjoyable to drive and sit in was the Lexus LC500 Convertible. The Mercedes felt claustrophobic, and the suspension was far too rigid in all settings. PS I do own two other Mercedes, but my enjoyment driver choice is always the LC500.
