Mostly agree. To grow even faster, it only needs the hybridisation from Toyota, like the less reliable/newer CX-50. However, I noticed a mistake in the video: Mazda is far from luxury, being premium, positioned in between the upper mass-market Toyota and the entry luxury Lexus, having an excellent quality/price ratio (close to Lexus quality at Toyota prices). A similar reasoning was the base for purchasing my Miata ND2 RF G-184 (ofc, the paint is the amazing Red Soul Crystal). The additional electronic features are not that good for above average drivers, that don't need unnecessary gimmicks. Thus, most of them would go for the base variant.

Watching this, I can't see anything new compared to my 2022 Mazda CX-5. Same looks, same tech, same engines. I DO love my CX-5, but it has the wonky dial pad to work the center screen, sucks gas like a sports car, has wired CarPlay and Android Auto (not wireless), neither engines offer enough power for my lead foot. Their V-6 in my wife's CX-9 is awesome...wish I had that in mine. But its pretty, comfortable, plush inside, and is well made, so I DO like it a lot. Just wish this channel had done some background checking before they started implying only the new 2025 has the cool features...very misleading.

The 2024 CX-5 gets 23 mpg in the city. The 2025 gets 26. But that's because it uses stop/start and cylinder deactivation technology.
