Any updates on how you’re liking your CX-70?
@rons356 күн бұрын
@@eddiem488hey, I’m not the OP, but I bought one beginning of August. Turbo premium s in poly metal blue. It’s a great ride! I get about 27mpg on the highway, and it’s a great road trip vehicle. Fun to drive as well! Let me know if you have any questions
@eddiem4886 күн бұрын
@@rons35 Honestly so many people were upset when Mazda released the CX-70 because they basically considered it the CX-90 without the third row and the price isn’t that different. I was more confused than upset, but I actually started to understand the need for Mazda to have both vehicles. So, even though they’re pretty much the same size, they really do target a different type of buyer. Living in Canada it seems like CX-70 sales are doing just as well as CX-90 sales. Our family really likes Mazda, so rather than listen to all the hate, my one question is, what actually made you choose the CX-70?
@rons356 күн бұрын
@@eddiem488I have no need for a tiny, cramped 3rd row. My wife and I wanted a large SUV with a bench seat (so many only offer captains chairs in the back) and loved all the room the cx-70 has. Plus, the 70 is a lot sportier and more classy looking than the 90 (IMO). We have done several 1000+ mile road trips already and we love it. Sure we have a few complaints, but I’d buy it again without hesitation
@eddiem4886 күн бұрын
@ Don’t own a CX-70 but based on my knowledge of it, I couldn’t agree more with your reasons for choosing it. Our family did a lot of research a few years ago when we chose to purchase our CX-5 after owning mostly Hondas and Toyotas. We really enjoy taking road trips as well and just driving in general, so the fact that Mazda focuses on making vehicles that are sporty and classy, but also practical and reliable, is what made us switch. Even though we had to get used to some of Mazda’s quirks, as I’m sure you’ve experienced with the CX-70, we realized that the things most people see as a downside to Mazda’s vehicles are often more practical and intuitive, even if it doesn’t follow automotive trends. Thanks for your response!

My only real gripe is the pricing which is virtually identical to a comparably equipped three row (and more expensive if you choose the base 90). It does have a lower cargo cubby in place of the third row, but honestly I don’t see that being too often used so really a CX90 with the third row folded is probably the vehicle to have if someone even might need that passenger space but once a year.

The only negative is that we can’t get the melted copper metallic exterior colour in Canada, but the red metallic with this interior is a great combo for this model. We tried various other vehicles before deciding on this (Honda Pilot, Passport and a Lexus RX350) but the drivability and the amount of features for the price can’t be matched…….plus they just look great. Hey Ryan, after 12 subarus, and no more autox, I picked mine up 2 weeks ago. When this came on my feed to watch, I'm like, yep. Yep. yep. Everything you said, including the suede, wifes shoes sometimes touch the dash. (dark brown/blackish) So I got a turbo S premium (no suede, and no 120 in the hatch, like... that's it) and, it's got everything in the on road dynamics department that make it a comfortable "GT" suv. I looked at many cars in my search and ... this was the absolute winner. Price/value, and ... again, driving dynamics. Subaru can't touch this right now, and I'm just done with CVT. (I wish manuals were a thing still). Plenty of room for my pups, or golf gear. :) I picked it over a Land Cruiser because of the dogs... it doesn't have that extra shelf for them to jump over into the hatch, and is slightly lower. Same issue with the higher trim/more powerful 4runners coming soon... Also, lots of room under the entire floor (you didn't lift the whole floor up, it goes all the way to the back seats, lots of under-floor storage since no 3rd row)

The new 25 MDX Advance with a redesigned Touch Screen, introduced the massaging front seats form the Type S, a new B&O stereo (??? Why the ELS system was Fantastic), a interior Light Show with changing colors (which I have very rarely used) BUT with a Good Acura 3.5L V-6 Engine with 45 Less HP and over 50 lbs Torque than the CX-70 for $68K vs $58K!! I'll keep my eye on the Mazda Forums to see what problems / Gremlins appear in the postings. Just turned 2k miles on my turbo premium plus. Overall, love the vehicle, but I have a growing list of issues I hope will be addressed: 1. Wireless charging never works, so hopefully a software update will eventually fix. When I place iPhone on it, it opens my apple wallet. Lol, maybe Mazda is looking for more money... 2. Rattles 🤬! Something annoying in console area I can't pin down yet (faint and high pitched), and something in the rear seats (maybe more). I see others with rear seat noise so I'll point that out to dealer. I do notice the rear seats vibrate (left to right) quite a bit when driving so not sure what that's all about? 3. Something not great in powertrain when starting slowly. Like a hesitation between 1st and 2nd gear. Does not do the same in sport mode (but can’t set sport mode as default). Good luck owners - Hope Mazda and dealers transparently address these issues.

You are out of your mind with your suggestion of changing the car. The main design for the CX70 is not meant for off road despite of having the AWD system. It is a premium car focused on premium material, luxury design in a competitive price and a comfortable driving experience. AWD system is there only to help you when you need it in case to case basis like in snow, wet road, un-paved road. Your tips of 18 inch tire and A/T Tire will change the car behavior and performance on road, another inch higher ground clearance will also change the comfort and the cornering of the car since you are elevating the center of gravity. Roof rack? are you serious? They spent time, money, brains to make the car look elegant and you're spoiling it.
