2025 Nissan Frontier Pro-X: TEST DRIVE+FULL REVIEW

Just got the 2024 Pro 4X in early August fully loaded for $45k out the door. Absolutely love this truck so far and it definitely deserves more credit than it's given. Didn't even consider all the 4 banger turbos in this segment, because I plan on keeping this truck for the long haul and don't want to have to worry about replacing a turbo. This was priced well below the similar spec'd Tacoma and other midsized trucks, and the reliability of the drive train and awesome 3.8 NA will be running well beyond the 4 cylinder turbos. Wasn't concerned about the resale as I plan on keeping this, and I waited to see what changes and improvements the 2025 Frontier was gonna offer and the differences weren't enough as I like the look and features of the 2024 better. Anyone getting the 24 or 25 Frontier won't be disappointed and it's good to see that Nissan is listening to their customers on what they want in a vehicle.

Prices are going down in late November for 2024 I plan to buy the 2024 in December hopefully I can get one for 38k out the door. I’m being cheap

I have a 24 Pro x. I'm shocked at what a great truck it is. Luxury interior. Tons of power. Great fuel mileage. 21 to 27 real world. Looks like a million bucks.

My '23 cv got 28 mpg avg on a trip to michigan. 900 mile drive. Couldn't believe it! Great truck

Lmao. No it doesn’t. I have a 2024 pro X. I drive slow as heck. 18 city. Which in reality is about 16. Gotta take 2 mph off what the computer reads. Highways lol. 21. I started driving very gently because when I first got it…. It was barely getting 15 mpg.

In Canada only the pro4x models are available. And for 24 only crew cabs. They bring back a king cab for 25.

I like my 2019 Frontier SV ex-cab 4x4 so much I bought a 2019 Frontier SV crew cab 4x4 this spring. So I'm set for at least a decade, I prefer the earlier design Frontiers.

I absolutely LOVE the Frontier but I would definitely go for the Pro-4x model. I currently have the 2021 Nissan Titan Pro-4X and we love it. I wish ventilated seats, a powered rear window and better quality cameras we re added to this new Frontier. Nissan definitely needs to upgrade the camera quality. They might be using the worst cameras on the market.

Things have changed. My Hardbody has 106 HP and weighs 2800 empty. Crank windows. But Nissan has another hit with this new truck. Only miss for me is NO manual option. Used to be the default. My Hardbody trans is 37 years old.

David, i have a 2020 toyota tacoma trd 4x4 with the premium package. I love the truck. It's my second tacoma. I also have had 3 nissan trucks. The last being in 2017. Nissan makes a great truck, too. I would buy another Nissan in a second. In my opinion, the frontier lasts just as long.

The Frontier was not sold by Nissan until 1997. Yes they still sold “little trucks” before then, but they were either under the name of Datsun/ Nissan 620 or just “Nissan Truck”
