My understanding is that this gen Kicks is based on the Sentra chassis, where the prior gen was based on the Versa. This helps address some of the issues the last one had. I like that AWD is an option. It's not a race car, but drive it like you're commuting and service the CVT regularly it should do the job. Jack said something astonishing at 05:07: he called the CVT "Libeartronic". But as far as I know that moniker applies to Subaru's in-house CVT. Its main feature is using a chain rather than a belt, as well as packaged for a longitudinal engine layout. I see several possibilities: 1. Jack misspoke, 2. Nissan licensed Lineartronic from Subaru and re-packaged it for a transversal powertrain, 3. Nissan licensed the name and slapped it on their CVT, 4. Nissan stole the name and used it on their CVT for whatever reason. I'd love to receive some clarity.
