So please do not call me a "buffoon" when you clearly haven't thought this one through...

How so? When I say intelligent or smart comedy, I don't mean the jokes always have to be intelligent jokes (science, maths, witty, etc...), but that the jokes aren't spoon-fed to the viewers. The comedies I listed are absolutely funny. You do realise that comedy is subjective, right? And no shit some of them aren't movies. You didn't ask me to list movies, you asked me to list "comedies". You might want to read what you wrote because it seems you forgot... How about you list some good comedies.

I'm not above society, you're right. Where did I say I was? Stop making things up. My argument of "spoon-fed jokes" absolutely makes sense. Some comedies tell a joke and leave the viewer to figure it out while others explain their jokes ruining the comedy. "Comedy is laughing at things that are outrageous or stupid, and nothing more. There's nothing abstract for better appeal, it's style is corny." This is just plain ignorance. Go watch George Carlin and tell me his comedy is corny...
