I found out that if u want to get stickers and labels off of stuff use a hair dryer and heat them up and it should peel off with ease once it gets hot enough. The best advise I've ever learned! Maybe this will help you guys!!!

Enjoy your videos! Especially the 'trash to treasure' type. I started learning this type of craft from my Grandma when I was about 5, making new baby dolls from empty toilet paper rolls & her scrap yarn. I am now 60+ and admire not just your not buying ready-made, but not using shortcuts like fancy adhesive paper & ready-made faux flowers. You have a truly imaginative, adventurous spirit in your up & recycled materials and projects. I always pick up a neat trick or idea from your work and helps justify my box of saved 'trash'!

First time watching... thank you. You bought back memories. My dad born 1931 and raised in Puerto Rico, repurposed coconut 1/2 shells as soup/rice bowls & 3/4 shells as cups, for hot and cold drinks. You need hours of hand sanding in and out, then a hand waxing on the outside, just for shine. I still have part of his "dish set". Loved all your ideas. My sis would love that burlap planter!!!

I do recognize the great work you do to recycle for reuse and / or give another use. I do try to do my best for the environment. I go to the woods and pick up fallen trees and branches from it. Cut the fallen tree in logs and bring it to my wood shop. I turn wood as piece of art and sell them on my business site. If the fallen tree if funcky (rotten) you can embellish it with different treatments and personal tricks and it gives it a new life.

All those nice books you took apart, would be perfect for making your own journals, or more specifically, junk journals, if you know how to make the signatures. Junk journals are the biggest rage right now! They are even better than scrapbooks. There are tons of video tutorials on how to make them. I treasure old book covers, and make memorable art and junk journals. So much fun.

So I had to show him your video so he would believe me that there's other people out there like me that saves a lot of stuff to repurpose. The one thing I do have to say that he helps me with is we have three cats, and their treats come in clear plastic jars with a purple lid. Love some of these ideas! Abt a month ago, I bought an 8in can of Dove chocolates, on sale at CVS(it was from SVD so 75% off lol...$1.49). The chocolate was delicious but I bought it mostly for the container. I got inspired and used some old strips of scrapbook paper in a few different florals to cover the whole can. Regular Elmers glue worked just fine, let it dry and then used clear packing tape to give it a nice shine. It's not perfect but perfect for me and my pens/pencils.

Awesome ideas. Suggestion for your paint cupboard. The carton from spent paper towels (and even some toilet paper) are sturdy. You could, with several of those, paint them, glue them in a honeycomb pattern that fits your cubbies and use them to hold your paint bottles so you can see them, but can just remove and replace the one you need without having to disturb the other ones. and it looks nicer too. 😊

Thanks for the ideas and instructions! I have a couple of tips: When you want to stick fabric to something, cut it closer to the size you need first, and iron it. That way, it won't wrinkle up as much when you glue it down! Forget the sticky stuff remover, use white vinegar. It works really well; I've used it on glass, plastic, cake tins (make sure that you don't leave it too long on metal and that it's not pitted) and it saved a lovely pine chest that seemed ruined by the shop's sale stickers. Plus, you can use it for lots of other purposes, and it's cheap!
