DANGER ! Fair old trek. What's the beach, just around the corner from the town called please ? It's fantastic for standing up Surfing. There's toilets and parking. Very similar to Fistral in Newquay. Fistral is a bit dangerous at times.

@@sandpit72 yeah ! It must have been Saunton. Don't get me wrong . I am a Boogie Boarder. I just wanted to try standing up, and it was particularly good there, I discovered. Gently sloping, but powerful waves. As, I remember it, possibly at mid tide. I only went there once. What a mission, to drive a van there with my big old surfboard ! It was a difficult time, where. I had a girlfriend with a dirty job.
