What’s funny about Larkin’s check was he aimed around chest height and hit the guys stick and it rode up to hit him high. His reaction too showed it was unintentional. Lindgren aimed at his cheek and got away with it and clearly would’ve fought about it.

Cool, how many people watch hockey in TR? I used to stay in Isparta for short period of time back in 2015 and I do remember that there was an ice skating rink in local shopping mall, haha.

The boys are buzzin! The entire team played so well tonight aside from a couple slip ups from Bobby Hagg lmao. Was so nice to see Zadina score a goal like that. He DEFINITELY worked on his shot in his off time no doubt, I think Vrana might have helped him out with that because it looks so much quicker. He could finally be finding his scoring groove. We knew his 200 foot game was there, just needed to add the scoring touch.. hopefully he keeps it up. We're talking about the playoffs going into the month of March for the first time in what seems like an eternity. LFG! LGRW!!!

@@lyleknight9012takes 50 games or so to sink in. The new system. You can see it now that it’s finally clicking in all aspects of their play. Not only defensive. This win against rangers was gutsy. It reminds me of a Tampa bay style win they had against rangers last year in the POs. You can see the Tampa bay style in this Wings team that Lalonde brought with him. Going to be fun. Wings have a good shot at sticking in a Playoff spot. Washington are done and I think it’s a matter of time Penguins and Panthers are finished

@@lyleknight9012Yzerman said it best there a while back. This team is a lot better than what their record shows. They easily could be battling near or in around Tampa bay for that 3rd spot. But just what happens when a team is learning a new system under a totally different coach staff takes a good chunk of the season to start gelling together. Anyway if they don’t make it in POs this year Definitely can start making playoffs next season and continue on for many years to come

@@Nall412 Pairings is my best guess. The hronek-maatta pairing was the only pairing doing good work the first half of the season. Now that Seider has been paired with Walman, it's trickled down. The top 4 is well-synergized.

Frustrated that the cross check wasn’t called for a five minute like Larkins in Washington. Regardless this team is playing so well rn, everything is just clicking. Powerplay and penalty kill have been getting better each night

It was the same thing as Larks yet they overlooked it and just gave 2 min.Only consolation was winning the game. 1, Husso playing fantastic,2- Much better defense! 3 Carrying the puck in more instead of just dumping!!LGRW

Rasmussen is definitely far better than I ever thought he would be. But clearly, the word is out: it's OK to cross check the Wings players: 2-minute minor. But the same play committed by a Detroit player is 5 minute major and game misconduct. That's the new NHL.

Love how we are scoring and goalies are standing on their head. The only thing I would like to see is the defence do a bit better. Seeing quite a few games where we are getting outshot and relying on the goalies. Of course it’s great to see how Husso keeps making amazing save after save, but in the stretch he needs a bit more help from the defenseman. My 2 cents.

It should be required that refs have to wear their names on their uniforms like they used to. There’d be more of an incentive to get the calls right knowing that they’d have to face the same shit that the players face when they make a stupid play. Also, make it so the refs have to do a press conference after every game so they can be held to account for why they call a play a certain way, i.e. Ryan Lindgren’s cross check to the head on Rasmussen that was only 2-minutes vs Larkin’s cross check that earned him 5, a game, and a fine.

I know it's not a direct comparison, but considering what happened to Steve Bartman for "messing up" the Cubs in 2003, I think it's completely okay that refs remain at least somewhat anonymous to the general public. Bad calls will exist to the end of time, and this would just open the floodgates to mob mentality when they make really bad calls.

Great game and a great win! The high sticking call was absolutely ridiculous though. Maybe a bit controversial, but if the refs this game were overruled from making the penalty a 5 minute major and a game misconduct by the Situation Room, then that's not on the refs and not their fault. IT IS however the fault of the league for overturning a 5 minute major after FINING LARKIN FOR THE SAME THING!!!! So this league needs to get its act together but either way, a Wings win is a Wings win. LGRW!
