I have had trouble falling asleep after an extended period of stress that interrupted my sleep for about two weeks. The death of someone close to us. The sleep disruption has continued on for months, on and off. I am taking other things for heavy metal detoxification and am using zeolites for a binder, but recently decided to use Mimosa Pudicum. Parasites, etc are sleep disrupters and cleansing can be disruptive, too. Two nights of taking Mimosa Podicum and I have been able to immediately resume sleep when disrupted. Tonight I will take it before going to sleep to ward off the disruption. Thank you for your video.

As a child living in the innards of Anchovy, St. James, Jamaica, a place called Nigger Ground, this interesting plant was known locally as “Shaama Macka”. In the botany sessions at Cornwall College, the biology master only explained the mechanics of why the leaves fold inward, when they are touched. This is refreshingly the first time in decades that I’m hearing the correct botanical name for this plant. And now, you have put a touch of absolute class, to it’s efficacies. Way to go!! You know why I am as proud of you as a doting parent!! God’s continued rich blessings!

Nice video. This plant abounds in the suburbs of my city in Nigeria. Sadly not many people know of its medicinal properties beyond the fact that the leaves react when touched. But there is a giant extremely invasive and thorny variety of it that appears to have been introduced later because we never knew of that growing up. It is a real menace on cultivated lands because it is very irksome to handle when weeding the farm. It is so injurious that it has been nicknamed "kidnapper" because when its thorns get in contact with your skin, you must make no movements else you get deeply lacerated. Its leaves are also sensitive to touch. Could this variety also be medicinal?

You have a new sub. You're living the life I've dreamed of for many years, & I am so happy for you. The scenery is breathtakingly beautiful. I'd loved to be there. We have a type of Mimosa, with pink, furry flowers & leaves like yours there. I've heard that there's DMT in the Mimosa plant, but I'm not sore which one. It's regarded as a weed here in Florida, where I am. I wonder if your plant is the same as the Mimosa tree in my yard. They're everywhere in Florida, I think. Anyway, just wondering. Oh, there's also a Mimosa with yellow flowers somewhere. Is that your plant? The 1 that grows wild in Florida has pretty light pink flowers with long, thin strands & leaves like yours, but maybe longer with more tiny parts to the leaves.

Thanks for this.....what's the best way to apply it? ( eat it, boil it and drink it? ). And how to prepare it? Can the roots be used as well?
@EarthsMedicine2 жыл бұрын
It depends on the condition you're treating Mak. People use all parts of the plant to treat lots of ailments i.e. the leaves, roots, seeds & whole plant. Re eating it, I'm not aware of that, but usually for the leaves, some people make tea with same for e.g.& use it internally to treat things like diarrhea & stomach ulcers & to help with reducing their blood sugar levels, anxiety & depression, among other things or they make a paste from the leaves & use it externally to treat things like piles & wounds for e.g. & there are other people who will make an oil infusion made from the leaves to be used a s a massage oil for treating all kinds of aches & pains. For the roots, some people use a decoction of same to treat renal stones, urinary complaints & asthma for e.g. & others use the root paste externally to treat uterine prolapses. Some people also use the roots to make a decoction, which they use internally to treat other things too e.g. for snake & scorpion bites & they also treat these things too by making a poultice with the roots & applying same to the affected area. For the seeds, some people mix these with sugar & take it with warm milk at nights to treat premature ejaculation.
