Use the planing tool to mark your surroundings, you can place infinite invisible blocks around colored in blue and only visible while holding a mallet or the planning tool, that way you can mark with shapes and make pointing arrows towards your base early game, use bone shards to craft arrows, use bone knife early to power battle zombies as its the most easiest weapon to craft if you find souldiers early game, they give nice chanse for dropping Night Vision mod which makes your life much, much easier! Im not sure if thats the case, but i think i got some steel bars from harvesting soldier zeds, that or maby i looted it from some container in their camp! speaking of looting, you dont have to wait the full loot timer to loot, just press loot, cancel, open again and voala you've saved that 8 seconds to loot a car or whatever!

Hell yes! Was waiting for this! Little update on my 26th restart on Insane permadeath (day run) 64zombies (rest is default) on day 20!!! : died to a freaking lumberjack in a little camp near a road. Not even a POI! When I hit him with a baton he somehow turned and hit me in my teeth or something; I got stunned and 2 subsequent hits killed me. Couldn't even switch to my gun fast enough! Ugh. Closed my game and had to take a walk outside. Starting my 27th today :) Little thing I noticed with screamers that spawns inside POIs: those WILL spawn a horde. So dispatch those fast! tip: once you open metal endloot chests: pick those up and hold on those to be smelted at a forge. Worth it. tip: farmer stands on the roads: loot those asap so you get blueberry seeds and plant asap early game. Blueberry are rare and needed for a map and herbal antibiotics. tip: get all those tier1, tier2 and most tier3 and 4 decor going asap in your base. Easy tier3 to get: skulls on top of some ranch gates. tier4: billard tables (pick and place). tip: when moving around always confirm at your decor in your buffs that the place you stand the most is the one got FULL decor coverage. tip: place large bed as you bed for a better sleep bonus. tip: your base should be high up in the air to prevent zombies hearing you open chests etc.. I would recommend 15+ blocks. tip: make a hole in a roof near your campfire and look UP when it rains. Some rains can give you 50+ water. Nice bonus and fire will try to keep you warm = less vitality loss. tip: axe workstations for level workstation crafting. DO NOT read books till you got 5 into. Same goes for other crafting skills: cloth, weapons, gear etc.. tip: open ALL ATMs for your buying guns in-game. tip: Paper is one of the outmost important resource in the game: open cardboard boxes and axe. You can craft 1 skill note with 100 paper! tip: butcher ALL killed zombies corpses; this gives you crazy amount of learned skills + bones for glue and arrow tips + decayed flesh for farming plots. tip: use z-kit virus asap. if infected prioritize mailboxes and scrap EVERYTHING to craft meds magazines to 40. You'll need herbal antibiotics asap! not infected? Workstations! tip: mines: a dozen spikes are good but wont save you if random horde spawns (some are massive like 30+). make a hole then build a square cross with 8 blocks 2 high: cobblestone or bricks are the best. place at least 2 rows of spikes around. then ladder into mine shaft. Use wooden logs outside to jump on mine entry. this will give you time to get out and bail by jumping over horde heads. tip: you can no longer take a tier3 chest and open it in wasteland or tier5 POI for better loot. You better open it at original location. tip: as soon as you get your bicycle your priority are mailboxes and cars: ALL OF THEM! open, use what you need and scrap. You want distillery and herbal antibiotics ASAP. tip: mods are specific for jobs! Grave digger wont add +damage to your weapons.. well unless you plan digging with a club. tip: skip bronze anvil and go straight to iron. It seems that iron anvil does bronze too.. tip: craft iron bucket for your fires as soon as you get Forge. cuts by 5mins water cooking. tip: for grass: try to get sickle asap (no stamina use) and use it on dead corn. or use shovel on hay bails. tip: you can still nerd-pull with difficulty using logs and chairs etc.. tip: get mats for your map asap! hardest to get are blueberries for blue paste. Youll need 10! theres blueberries plants in the wild: forest and in-between POIs (a bit darker and smaller) tip: DO NOT eat zebra cake on a horde night. Trust me on this. tip: DO NOT clutter your base with oversized tier1 and 2 decor. You can find plenty of 1 block decor inside POIs. tip: you will find lots of beer: use it as water supplement. 3% alcohol each so you can drink 8 and you'll be fine. 5x8=40 water! tip: you can use logs and chairs to block zombies in doorways. tip: use 1-2 spikes outside POIs and let aggroed zombies run through. DO NOT forget where you place those and walk into yourself! tip: depleted torch can be placed on a wall, removed and it's full again. tip: once you got a map: mark raided POIs with an X and no description. It will help you a lot to manage your raids and wont clutter your map too much. tip: bicycle is very easy on stamina; you can outcycle a feral or animals so explore a cold biome for cars loot + mailboxes. Maybe an easy endloot to steal? Trader base to loot? tip: get your honey/wood production going. cut 3-5 trees everyday. so you'll have 15mins infection stalling and sweet treat (+10 vitality) when needed. go for 600-1200hp 1st. You want qty! tip: choose a POI for a base VERY close to water. POI with a ditch or a pool inside landclaim zone is perfect! tip: choose a POI for a base with a fence so you can place a row of spikes all around. Building in Afterlife is very hard. Ideally with landclaim zone inside fence perimeter. tip: you'll regularly have zombies spawn or invade your landclaim. Place spikes on their way in. Those gets very annoying to deal with yourself. tip: stone throwers wont care about not seeing you (cops and screamer X-ray) vision. they will stone your general location! You better have some rifle with a scope on 1st horde! tip: you DO NOT have to fight all zombies. fighting eats on your food and water. throw a stone near zombies to make then kite it out of your way. tip: by default you will use food to heal. better invest + passive healing early game to save on food or don't get hit. tip: if you dont have 2 cooking pots by day 2; getting a second one minimum is your priority no1. Some POIs have those just sitting on counters. (Bobs Boars got 1 sitting on a Fridge) tip: open ALL trash! You want those moldy sandwiches! Eat asap and try to keep it under 80% at all times. You'll save lots of food this way. tip: you can lock inventory slots with Alt + Left Click.

Loved the video. a few extra tips. When going out looting always carry extra jars so you can take fresh water from the water coolers or blue containers also as of some recent updates coffee makers have coffee in them which can be taken with an empty jar and in the restaurants you can get mega crush from the soda fountains but also they require an empty jar. this will help cut back a bit on the water needs. Loot birds nests for eggs. boiled eggs is an easy and great source of early game food. also when hunting go for chickens and rabbits since they can be 1 shot with an arrow as opposed to deer or the more dangerous boars which can take a few arrows. In the research desk craft the perk books that will boost melee damage such as the hunters Journal volume 7 and for clubs the batters up volume 1. don't know the name for the spear book but crafting those will give you a 20% boost to damage which is a great help early game. yes it costs a bit at the price of 20 literature fragments but for those of us who aren't blessed by RNG gods it can help. also try to complete the series for those melee books since they give the ability to gain back stamina after power attack skills which is huge and very helpful.

Stealth in general is ideal for this mod due to the number of zombies around all the time. Bows are your friend, especially early game. One or two arrows to knock down, a quick stab with the knife for bleed damage and then the pipe baton or club to finish them off not only saves on wear and tear to all weapons, but also gets you leveling each weapon skill. Arrows are cheap to make, I usually have about 75 when I leave base every morning. The double bed can be crafted in your base and used to give faster vitality generation when you were crouched on it. Might still do so. It's hard to lug one home (it's super heavy). but you can craft it pretty easily. Syphia syrup is ideal for knocking back the infection rate, but chase it with a regular honey for the halting of infection rate. That way you drop the level of infection by 15% and prevent the infection from increasing for 15 minutes, effectively doubling the gain. Overall, it's a very good mod for those who like the survival aspect of 7 Days, though it still has a way to go to really be balanced. I'm a little concerned about future updates to the base game as it's a ton of work to do to get such massive changes working. Still, I'm quite impressed.

Yes, there are a few things I would change in my next playthrough, one of them is bows. I would definitely use them more as I can also do it from the start. It takes so long to upgrade your skills, that I think it would be wise to try start with certain weapons and keep them throughout the playthrough for maximum skill. I jumped around between bows, machine guns, spears, clubs and pistols... I really had a weakened and less efficient attack in the end from not prioritizing.

Drinking regular honey pauses infection rate, and it also takes care of sweet treat craving. So save the manuka honey for syphia syrup. Also, i wasnt if sure it was even worth boiling the infected water because it required 3 water for 1 clean water. But you get the jars back, which was my biggest worry since you can find drinks to use your jars on while looting. I recommend harvesting pallets for nails. You can dump out beer and alcohol for an empty jar.. havest all the empty boxes and such and loot all paper. Paper can be crafted into fragments in the desk workstation. Do not scrap explosive magazines since ammo is scarce and you need to be able to craft gun powder.
@SnowBeeКүн бұрын
Yes, I just got to gunpowder and that was it for explosives for me. I think you get jars and buckets back from everything you do, and it is only molotovs that you don't get the jar back, which is quite realistic for the use of jars in the mod.

Great tips. And also you can cure yourself from infection but only when this infection kills you. But just going from 90 -> 100% to die from it is just horribly long. About an hour or 2 and you can only see things closer than 1 meter in front of you. Then real challenge is survive that long where you cant see zombies and you cant outran them

Thanks :) Well, if you are at 90%, I would drink some dirty infected water and get it over and done with. Certainly not worth the wait.

If you die by infection , you lose 10% of all skills, so i dont recomend it. Every death except by infection does not do this.
@SnowBee15 сағат бұрын
I agree, however, once you get into the high levels of infection, it is near impossible to see. If "infection" death is a matter of just waiting for it to happen, instead of wasting time, drink and turn. No use waiting.

Hi Andon I didn't go down that track at all. The stamina problems were difficult to deal with, so if that is your problem, then you will struggle with the hammer. I know my vitality was not managed properly, so the hammer could be pretty good by mid game and better vitality.
