I made the classic mistake of not knowing my zero before Varmint hunting and checked why on the range today. Don't laugh to much anyway!

Give her a break on her first spotter assignment.🔭 I think you should do one more video with her spotting a rock chuck hunt with your 25-06 BAR and have one of your ARs for backup while the BAR cools, just to show her how good her gift selection skills are.😊

Another trick I have learned from YT (Winning in the Wind channel) is to go past your needed scope adjustment, then back.. to take out any slack/ backlash in the scope adjustments/ sticking of springs/ turrets.. more important when relieving tension (up/ right adjustments) than adding tension, but a good idea in general.. I mention this as it looks like your scope (sometimes) needed a shot to "settle" in adjustments.. in the 'old days, we'd tap on turrets with a round after adjustments.. I'm sure you remember that :)

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 Yes they are! Rare to get a bad one out of the box, unlike the old days ;) I still find the "past and back" method to be a good idea, doesn't hurt anything and who wants to waste even 1 shot anymore... lol

hard to move away from .223 to another cartridge because of the larger selection of bullets and powder data...it will be a viable contender for many years yet 👍🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

i've been using 69's for 600-yard service rifle but the best i could hope for is a 14" group with normal field conditions so you're right about switching flavors😇🇺🇸

@@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009 That’s my favorite predator projectile in 223. I use 25 grains of benchmark and 25.2 grains of H4895 in my three 223 and 5.56’s for best accuracy. It dumps coyotes off their feet. Depending on which barrel length and twist rate I don’t get exits . If I do, it’s with the shorter barrel and fast twist. In my shorter barrel rifles they are going about a 125 fps slower and exit on average a fifty cent sized hole. I also like 40 grain Nosler ballistic tips with 27 grains of benchmark because they are flat shooting. I don’t have to hold over out to almost 300 yards. I tried to post six times and it keeps erasing it. I figured I’d post under CW’s comment and see if it sticks this time.
