I wasn’t expecting much from Reimer, but what a night. Our goaltending has really improved recently. And so has our defense. Things are looking good. We are in the 1st wild card spot and only 1 point behind 3rd place in the Atlantic

I've been saying this for a while. He goes under the radar. He was great with Hronek before they got split up (One of the best 2nd pairings in the NHL at the time) He's smart and great positionally. Doesn't mess about with the puck....something Wings D men do a lot. Liked the fact he got paired with Seider vs L.A. Some reason they didn't keep them together for this game. He's a +10 as well.

My father was born in Montreal and when he was a child his family returned to Italy. He gave me the passion for hockey, since he practiced it in Canada. We played hockey together on PS2 many times and watched some games together (he's a Montreal's fan). I immediately fell in love with Pav and Z, they were the winning years of Detroit. Then, they no longer showed the matches on television and I missed the news a bit. Now, I've started following again...I try to watch them live when I can or the summaries on this channel...it's not convenient with the time zone unfortunately.

There are many Italians in America! “Veleno” in English means “Poison” and “Fabbri” is the plural of “Fabbro” meaning “Blacksmith”. However one of my dreams in life is to go to Detroit and see a Red Wings game and take in the atmosphere!!

Travel issues weren't able to slow us down. In fact, an extra night in their own beds may help us. Having to stay overnight in Toronto could help as well.

There's no other team I enjoy watching Detroit beat more than the Leafs. Probably goes back to when they used to play New Years Eve's games every year. Plus Toronto being the centre of the Universe. Here's an example. Sportsnet BLACKED OUT this game in Nova Scotia - about 1200 miles away FFS. Like I was going to drive to that one. First WIngs game I ever saw was against Toronto and they won by an identical 4-2 score. Coffey was still playing for the Wings. Larkin is red hot. Reimer - well played. Nice game where our goalie never had to make 40 plus saves.

Next game is MASSIVE. A win puts us 5 points out of 2nd in the division since the team we face is the Panthers... who just happen to be 2nd in the division, 7 points up on us. That may seem like a big deficit, but a win would mean we've got 13 out of a possible 14 points so far this year. Oh, and after that are the 'Canes, the other 2nd place team in the Eastern Conference.

Lyon as starter, Rymer as backup should be the Detroit Goaltending duo. Husso needs development yet, as does Hellberg. Rymer and Lyon are well seasoned, and know the crease at this level very well.

Perry is awful. I’m tired of his double clutch leg kick shots and awful decision making. He has to make a 3 bad decisions a period. Last night he skates down the boards to about the top of circle then feeds a pass back to Sprong who is standing still, 3 feet off the blue line and the Toronto player jumps the pass and Sorong has no choice but to take a penalty or it’s a clear breakaway. How this guy made it to the NHL let alone still playing is beyond me. He belongs in some low level Swedish League.
