23 juveniles and 6 adults arrested after canceled skate after-party

Almost 30 people were arrested Saturday night after a fight broke out in the area surrounding a Tampa-area skating rink. Jeff Gant says his 16-year-old son was one of the young people arrested. However, he says his son was not fighting or destroying property but was waiting for his ride near the skating rink and was trespassed. “Use this as a learning experience. When you see things starting up, call one of us parents to come get you. Go to a safe place, a store, a gas station," Gant said. Gant reached out to ABC Action News because he has concerns about how his son was detained.

The local news station tried their sunday best to cover this up, but they knew the video would get out so they decided THEY would be the ones to monetize it. The son didn't speak because he knew that he wasn't innocent. They wouldn't've arrested him if he was on the street far away waiting for a ride . He was right there in the mix.

Sounds like in case of a few "bad apples". I don't know, I was not there. However, I've seen this kind of thing so many times before. Especially with young guys whose bodies are already a hormonal mess at that age. Pay for the damages, do the community service, and get on with your lives. Once again, I don't know all the details, but I hope it can be settled like this.
