Awesome 👍🏻🙏 u have it! U are so on right way! I can tell u u are in sub2.40 shap! But am little worried about ur gel , u should only go for 3 gel in that race! Like 12 km 22km and 32 km. U carbload 1-2days before and u dont run of ur fuel .. many take too much gel in a race and the stomach cant not handling .. I have 1 race I only took 1 gel after halfway and I feel strong all the way to the finish! And in that race I run 2.21. But u are in 2.40 shape🙏 be calm and trust ur process. Dont do to much hard work now and have some only 30min jog days. All the best now in ur finish process! ❤🙏

Three straight weekends of long runs of 23 miles is next level! One day I'll get there, I'm in the taper phase now for the Lisbon marathon that's 6 days out. So excited for it!!

Do you ever do steady long runs? All your long runs seem to be more speed focussed interval training with fast reps and then significantly slower float reps rather than doing 20 miles in one go which might be a better race simulation for your digestion and fuelling as you don't get rest periods. Obviously you're much faster than I am but did wonder.

Yes I do loads of just steady long runs, usually in base phase or in the early buildup phase. From 8/10 weeks out of the goal race they all become race specific long runs 🤘

Ive used Coros the last year and the only negative thing with it is its a slight delay with the current speed on the watch, about 10-15 sec. To get around that problem you need a Coros pod. I dont know if other brands are better when it comes to that detail since Coros is the only running watch i’ve used. Thanks for the quality videos it will be nice to implement some of these long runs in the spring leading up to Copenhagen marathon for me. Good luck on your marathon. /🇸🇪🇸🇪

Thanks! Yes please do use some of them in the build up to Copenhagen! That’s good feedback thank you, I haven’t noticed that yet but I’ll pay attention to that now you’ve mentioned it 🤝

Another long run workout nailed Andy. You are in fantastic shape. It sounds like you have fuelling sorted too. Treat Abingdon like just another long run, and im sure you will find race pace comfortable and might even be able to kick on in the last few k 👍
