Snowy's provides such incredible swag reviews and videos. Sadly, I'm not able to purchase from Snowy's in the US...but I would if I could.

hey mate, know I'm a little late but I'm just getting into camping and I'm really keen on getting a dual, because it seems like a great alternative to darche's pricey swags. My only concern is the poles, do you know if they're really prone to snapping? I've heard a few complaints here and there, wanna know if it just depends on the odd chance of manufacturing issues.

They're were reworked about 10-12months ago @cskyhawk8275, we haven't really heard anything around pole failure since then. Its great when companies listen to feedback that's floating around! ~ Lauren

Can these go on a stretcher?
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Sure can, Jay, just make sure the stretcher dimensions accommodate the swag and you'll be all good. The guy ropes are long enough to go to the ground even when on a stretcher. ~ Ben

Can anyone comment on the breathability of this swag.I know its made of a polyster-canvas blend which is less breathable than a pure canvas. Also the storm flaps above the vents at the head and feet are positioned very low which could block breezes coming through. CrashPad swags storm flaps are positioned much higher up which i imagine would create a lot better ventilation . Im tossing up between buying Crashpad or 23Zero swag but just wondering what breath-ability is like especially on hot humid rainy nights
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
Hi Jason, most canvas manufacturers use a polycotton canvas nowadays as it offers more strength than pure cotton canvas and enables better treatments for waterproofing, but it does affect the breathability a little. I can't talk first hand on the effectiveness of the ventilation for this swag, but I think you will find that the Crashpad and 23Zero swags, in fact most swags with this design, will offer similar performance regarding breathability with the small design differences offering advantages in differing climates. Whilst the Crashpad design might allow more ventilation on account of the storm flaps being higher, this may have adverse affects in particularly stormy weather when the larger and lower storm flaps on the 23Zero swag will offer better protection. I reckon that no matter which way you go you'll find every design has it's limitation in certain environments, but overall you'd be happy with either of the swags you mention here... We'd like you to buy the 23Zero swag, but I'm remaining unbiased here. ~ Ben

You should think about showing both sides with screen protection a little better than you do. Some of us spend our summers in the hear and want the screen on both sides without the canvas down. But great job otherwise.
@SnowysOutdoors Жыл бұрын
@juketreks2192 the sides are identical, so what you see Ben demonstrate on one side is the same with the other. If you're swaging in the summer, just roll up the canvas flaps. Hope that helps. ~ Lauren
@juketreks2192 Жыл бұрын
@@SnowysOutdoors it does but like I said you might want to demonstrate it being the same on both sides. Not one video ever shows both screens and it’s important when considering factors for hot weather trips. Thank you.

Do these swag suffer the "side sag" like the kings big daddy deluxe swags do?
@SnowysOutdoors4 жыл бұрын
I don't have any experience with the Big Daddy, Goeree, but I can say that we have not had any complaints about side sag with the 23Zero Dual range and they all pitched nicely when we shot the video. They are made using a sleeve along the top of the pole and an awning at each end which looks to come further down than the Big Daddy swag. The ends actually slope inwards a little and all of these features likely transfer tension through the fabric and to the guy rope to be able to tension the swag and reduce any instance of side sag. Just my two cents worth, I hope it helps. ~ Ben
@drew5763 Жыл бұрын
One commentator said similar, that if the end flaps came down lower they ( kings ) would be much better.

What’s the differences between the Duel and the Bandit? Cheers

It's the pole structure, Brian. The Bandit had a 3 hoop pole configuration with smaller doors, whereas the Dual has two hoop poles and full length doors. ~ Ben

Can you guys confirm the 23zero Dual Swag 900 total weight? According from the 23zero website, 23zero Dual Swag 900 total weight is 12kg, instead from the Snowys website the 23zero Dual Swag 900 is only 7.9kg
@SnowysOutdoors3 жыл бұрын
We must have weighed it independently, Not John Wick, which is why we place the little 'Snowys verified' tick next to the specification. However, I've just double checked the swags whilst in their boxes and they now weigh much more than what we have indicated on our website so something has unbeknownst to us changed at some stage. We will update our site to reflect this but the 23Zero weights now seem to be accurate. Apologies for the confusion. ~ Ben
