I'm in Oregon - and we have those bugs up in woods where I live. They are call "mud bugs" - they don't really do anything, and when found inside - they are escorted out ASAP.

So interesting to see the life and regulations in a traditional Japanese home in a rural area. So difficult to try not to hurt the feelings of the house lady concerning the food.

So glad you guys had a blast in Japan! 🇯🇵 As someone who's been there a few times, I've learned that it can be a bit tricky for vegetarians. Just my two cents! Of course, everyone's experience is different, so feel free to share your thoughts. Let's keep it respectful and kind in the comments! 😊 #JapanTravel #VegetarianTravel #RespectfulDialogue

In the late 60’s/early 70’s…..I found it to be very easy to eat out as a vegetarian. But over the past several decades, I have seen far more meat enter their diet than I remember them having before. It could have been the several regions I was in, or just the times…..but my family always devoured the many lovely vegetable dishes we were served. However, I do remember there being quite a bit of seafood.

I completely know how you feel regarding vegetarian food!!! I’m vegan, I was there with my husband and son who are not vegan. Food was the biggest issue there for me. 🤦♀️ you both did your best with what you could. 😌😊
