Owning the gen.4 Three months... But it's a versatile bike. You don't need to go fast each time. It can be a lazy shifting cruise bike in town.... But when you are out of it.... Make a wheelie.... 😂 I am in love with this Machine. From 5000rpm you will get the Pop when upshifting.

Even though I am not the biggest fan of modern motorcycles, I've got to agree with you that it does not look bad. My first (and only) impression on the driving dynamics does kind of match yours. I recently got to switch bikes and take a ride on a friend's '23 SP. He put it in "everything off" mode for me to get the full experience. We were driving some very narrow roads near Alkmaar and the first time I gave it a sizeable amount of throttle the front wheel came up incredibly easily, quickly and far. It honestly scared me quite a bit because neither of my bikes do that, I am not used to big wheelies, and it is my friend's new and quite expensive bike. I was really glad to switch back again after a few minutes. Could I get used to that amount of power and torque? Yes. Could I get used to the less dynamic/focused chassis and ergonomics compared to my bike? Most likely. But do I want to? Honestly not. I am already finding my ST675R less enjoyable on the street after having driven it quite spiritedly on track and honestly that 675 engine already has so much power I hardly go full throttle or surpass 3rd gear on the street. More power can definitely be fun if you drive a lot of wide and straight roads, but it's not for me. More power also does not make a bike better. I am setting significantly quicker laps with less effort on my ST675R than my friend on his MT09SP. I felt like I was barely scratching the surface of my Triumph's capabilities whilst my friend is struggling with wheelies, seating position and scraping the foot pegs. There is of course a rider difference, but I honestly had expected my friend to be quicker since he has more riding and track experience. Is the MT09 a great bike? Definitely! No question about that. But on a sensible level, something like an MT07 would most likely be better suited for our street riding in the Netherlands or in Europe. Would I then pick an MT07 over an MT09 on a personal level? Probably not. If I had to choose between those two I would probably choose the MT09(SP) because I like riding on track too much, but there are definitely other options I'd prefer for that. So what do I think about the MT09 then? I think it is a great all-round full-A-class motorcycle which your average rider can thoroughly enjoy as a step up from their A2 MT07 for example. I really think it is a great jack of all trades motorcycle, I just personally think it is a master of none of those. Cheers!

@@RickChardet waiting for your review then! I too love supermoto's. I had a DRZ400SM, but it is outdated. It does not have fuel injection, no sixth gear, no quick shifter, no riding modes, not even a fuel gauge. It is even low on power. What it did have is a very good power to weight ratio. The Ducati should be ideal for our roads in Malta, also. It has just the right power, and weight. Perfect for navigating traffic, twisty country roads, and dirt tracks.

@@iefie ik heb zelf 3 mt-07s gehad dus ben sowieso bevooroordeeld haha, maar dat beantwoord misschien ook je vraag! Bedankt voor reactie, de conclusie had ik inderdaad beter kunnen verwoorden! Good bike, terrible test. You choose really small, bendy roads and complian about "too much power"? I useed to own a 09 (i dont any more), the wide range of power (no matter rews) was a good point. Sittning like you are on a motocross was nopt always that nice... High speed gets uncomfortable if you drive some distance. For short trips it is great fun.
