You can also companion plant garlic to fight off pests. I put a clove down by every plant and tree in my garden, and haven't had aphid problems since. I never harvest the garlic, I just let the onions sprout more plants next year, they're quite discreet plants. Even the snails are gone now, and there are practically no slugs. Thus, the £2 I paid for 2 nets of garlic in the supermarket are everlasting pest control.

I just found your channel and I love it! So nice esthetics and music ❤ regarding the potatoes, I think you are right. In warm climates with little rain or slugs, hay or straw mulching is a great way to grow potatoes. Here in Sweden, the hay becomes a habitat for the slugs ans they eat the potatoes 😳

Beautiful harwest in april/maj 🌱 how does your tulips bloom? we put them in soil in the autumn and they need to have a cold period to start blooming in spring. please update from your flower pots later 🌸 thanks for a great video 💚

Love your channel! What growing zone are you in? I am jealous how far along your garden is! Although mid-Michigan has been abnormally hot, in the 80s!!, it is supposed to snow tomorrow night/Monday morning. 😏 Thank you for inspiring me as I rush to get a head start in my small garden. Even if I have to cover some plants, it feels so godd to get out in the hot sunshine after the long winter. 🥰

Diatomaceous earth it's called. It's the skeletons of ancient diatoms which sank to the bottom of long-gone oceans and can now be mined in certain parts of the world. It disturbs the waxy coating on insect exoskeletons so that their body fluids evaporate out and the bug dies. It's harmless and non-toxic to any creature that doesn't have an exoskeleton, some people even drink it for health or use it to brush their teeth.

Thank you Susan ☺️ my cutting board is from my friend Joana, she makes them and this is her website (www.odajoana.pt/produto/tabuas_do_o/ ) I cooked the meat at maximum temperature in my oven (I would say around 220C) for 20 minutes and then lower it to 180C for another 1:150 h - 1:45 h (depending on the size of the piece) :)
