I would never buy this monitor because of the crazy curvature. 1) If you have any window or lamp behind you, it's impossible to set it up without annoying reflections. 2) You will never see a straight horizontal line on your monitor again. Everything is bent. 3) A minimal curve would be 1800R. 4) If you do nothing more than play games in first-person-view, then okay. If you play any other type of game or do something other than gaming... nope.

Nice but too expensive for me. My 32" Gigabyte 165hz 1440p does great in gaming for $300. Why do we need to go broke for the small advantage it actually provides in-game or in clarity. Unless you just MUST have the best I think it's crazy expensive and you don't need it.

I was really surprised to hear the 4070 TI did not push this monitor. There are only 5 other Nvidia cards that out perform that card atm. I also have that card but would be curious what the guys with the 4080's and 4090's are running on this monitor. I have a G7 32" 240 HZ 2K monitor and have hated it since I purchased it. Funny its actually being repaired as I type this.

It is still higher res than 2560x1440 as it is 3440x1440 it offers a great balance regarding sharpness and ease of resolution for a wide range of games. 4K would not be in this aspect ratio it would be 32" non ultrawide and to go to the higher than 4K you would go to an even higher resolution making it even more demanding. For real world gaming from Forza to Baulder Gate to Desitny and Cyberpunk this is a great resolution. While this is a gaming display first ( LCDs still hold an edge for text rendering and clarity ) it hits a reasonable balance for sharpness and clarity. Overall you are not going to be gaming on this and think "it is not sharp enough" the contrast, resolution and motion clarity will offer a very immersive experience.

Thank you for the review. You skipped a setting on the OSD that trigger my curiosity. Aspect ratio. Can this monitor be set as a 16:9 and be recognized as a 2560x1440 monitor while activated ? For some FPS I'm running 16:9 (to improve performance and some ATH (like UAV) not being at the edge of the 34" screen. On my current VG34, there is not such settings. I need to play windowed mode and force 16:9 ratio. But if this monitor can run straight on 16:9 and allow me to play full screen... That would be awesome

I've been waiting for this over a year. Wanted a 34 (min) OLED 1440P (Glossy). As I already have a 65" Samsung 4k QDLED TV for non e-sport games (looks amazing) but I always FPS lots an going for 4K (even with my 4090) is dumb. I went from a 3080 1440P to a 4090 4K and I swear going to the 4090 was downgrade. Don't think so? My 4090 melted and I slapped in a 2060 Super and for the most part, Hell Let Loose (awful optimized game, I know) ran just as well FPS wise and looks not aweful vs trying to drive a 4090 at 4k. In fact, I was getting around the same FPS with my 2060 on the 1440P and I only had to drop my settings down a bit. If you're running 4k for the quality, you don't run a FPS at MAX settings as you should, after all you're going for looks/quality right? Nope, you still even with a beast of a GPU move your sliders down from EPIC. So for me, 1 Monitor for FPS at 1440P and a 65" 4K TV is amazing. This fits the bill!

Asus: - slightly brighter - better in brighter rooms - more prone to text fringing - I personally find the 800R curvature ridiculous for anything but gaming. - Most people really struggle to even notice differences in framerates above 144Hz, so while 240Hz is better than 175Hz, it's questionable if it's of any real value beyond improving the paper specs. - Terribly grainy matte coating which makes it almost unusable for anything but gaming or media consumption. Alienware - still fringes, but less - more saturated colors - clear glossy coating with no graininess which makes everything pop in darker rooms, but reflects too much light in brighter rooms. The Asus is better in some limited situations, but the much higher cost makes it difficult to generally recommend over the Alienware IMHO.

You would be probably better off using one of our standard aspect ratio monitors not an ultra wide. With that noted in the monitor you have options to adjust the aspect ratio 16:9 fill , equivalent, pixel by pixel 21:9 eSports All of these have different options to allow you to tailor the resolution and fill size in ways to complement different types of use cases including for consoles.

I have the xg349c ips 1800r or 1500r curve, forgot the curvature but it's very minimal but it's an absolute beast and my TV is an LG OLED and the picture is just unmatched. You can still have a great experience with an AR polarizer we have had multiple displays with these coatings and have positive feedback/reviews from users and media alike. If you prefer a glossy display consider our QD OLED solutions keep in mind they will have more reflection and can also have aspects like "grey blacks" if you do not have a dark ambient environment. As such there are multiple items to keep in mind resident to reflection and ambient light handling. Hope this provides some insight.

If you turn on ELMB with OLED it maxes at 120hz because every second frame is black on OLED version monitors to be able to use ELMB. However, the UFO test show it just as smooth as 240hz with ELMB off. If you cant get max fps, ELMB might help you out.

using light theme in windows will not show the woled issues when displaying gray/dark gray shades when say using windows dark mode.. The woleds will show dirty grays ie like if u were seeing scan lines on old crt monitors but only when gray shades are displayed. No proper computer user ie those that cant stand normal windows theme should use woleds until this is sorted which can take years, too much money for a defective piece of tech.

Having a different or bigger, GPU has nothing to do with why you are not getting 240hz . Just because your monitor can do 240Hz doesn’t mean every single game supports that. Remember this is Destiny, Destiny is not really a hard graphic demanding game.

It is a gaming/content monitor first and foremost if you prefer a higher PPI which is warranted for more hybrid use ( desktop ) then our upcoming 32" 4K offerings would be favorable as you have a much higher PPI. PPI also has challenges as you have to account for rendering a xx line can be longer in a low ppi monitor and be shorter in a high ppi monitor. You also have to account for how we perceive ppi relative to distance. The closer you are the more you can note ppi the further you are the less it is of importance. With this noted it is reasonable to warrant PPI from 120 to 150 for those who want the best text and productivity rendering.
