I don't particularly care about the look of the power brick but having the biglogo on it does help you identify which power brick goes with which tech. I currently can't use my oldish laptop because the lenovo power brick wasn't clearly identifyable and got put away somewhere and i don't know where.

make sure you update the drivers inside the monitor cus it took me 2 weeks to realize that, and it makes a big difference to hdr brightness

Have you had the chance to compare the picture quality in games on a good, modern TV (Mini LED or OLED) with this monitor? I have a good modern Sony Bravia TV, so I know how PlayStation 5 games look on a high-quality modern TV with proper HDR, etc. I’m curious if the picture quality, including HDR and so on, on this PG32UCDM monitor when playing PS5 games will look worse, better, or at least as good as on high-end modern TVs? I remember that gaming monitors of this size used to fall far behind TVs in picture quality, especially in HDR…

@@NinaBaoBao It's my first Oled not my first 4k. So far it's a very vibrant monitor. I like the gloss. I also just bought my first 4090 so that should be here in a week. Some people complain about it not getting very bright and I can see why, however, I like that it doesn't get super bright because my room is usually dark with black out curtains.

@@AzraelIgnis this is weird about what you say on the 105 firmware update, I didn't see people with colorimeter complaining about it on the rog space. Asus released this firmware to fix as a first step the high APL situation issues where very large and bright scenes would make luminosity decrease a lot in HDR1000. They've been approving this firmware to behave like the true black HDR400+ mode now and so far happy with the 105 update. Maybe there's something untuned in your settings.

ASUS PG32UCDM has a glossier coating which looks better but the G8 has matte which makes using it in brighter settings better. I think a better comparison would be this G8 vs PG32UCDP, since they both have matte coatings. I'll be dropping the UCDM review in about 30 minutes 🔥

Its the same Samsung QD-OLED panel so you'll probably still feel like its dim. It's a challenge at the moment for OLED monitors to be superior in the brightness category. Since you like the matte coating, maybe look into the LG 32GS95UE which has a slightly brighter screen (250nits vs 275nits typical Brightness). Me personally, I prefer the menu options on the LG

The way I see it, OLED tech wise it’s either gonna be Samsung (QD-OLED) or LG (WOLED) panel. Next I look at are features, like if its matte or gloss, and also the inputs. I’ve done a lot of ASUS monitors, and I appreciate the addition of USB-C and KVM Switch plus their gaming features are more geared towards gamers. Best overall in my personal experience and opinion, ASUS. But keep in mind I;m slowly getting into AORUS (gigabyte) and MSI

I do like the cable bag and cables inclusion, I need to do better at organising and keeping track of my power and other cables in general. I I just wish this monitor didn't have the 12 year old gamer look. I Much prefer LG's professional monitor designs with its minimalist look. I don't want the RGB lights or logos everywhere.

@@kaiichinose9590 I went Alienware AW3225QF QD-OLED. Got it for $989 from Best Buy. Love it. Dolby Vision is amazing. Color Accuracy is outstanding. Couldn't be happier. The curve is so negligible that I don't even see it and I don't care for curved monitors.

QD-OLED will always be better than WOLED in every way possible. Plus, just an FYI, most reviews that are honest, say the 1080P mode is trash because 1080P at 32"s looks like trash. The reviewers are saying you will try it once and Never use that feature again. and lastly, Glossy is so much better than matte.

Never buy Samsung , they have s issue where your screen shut off afther just exit or start a game . I send my back and got refound , since its not fun to start a game and know if you want to change you have to turn off pc and do everything over . Even just going into game menu willl be s change of screen going to sleep mode , where you cant wake it . Only way is to start machine over again , force start .
