Yea...My uncle has advanced MS and routinely participates in *actual* stem cell therapy from an accredited research group at NYU. I sent him this video and he showed it to his doctor and she says that the place he went to is absolutely bogus. Stem cells are administered in small doses over time and vary heavily according to how the body’s individual physiology responds. There’s no such thing as getting stem cells injected into a local site (like your bicep) a single or even multiple times and then having that area show healing or improvement. Stem cells are much more complicated than just “Inject here for results”. The people you went to, Eddie, are a complete ripoff and could’ve hurt you.

"Attendees at a 2016 FDA public workshop discussed several cases of severe adverse events. One patient became blind due to an injection of stem cells into the eye. Other potential safety concerns for unproven treatments include: Administration site reactions, The ability of cells to move from placement sites and change into inappropriate cell types or multiply, Failure of cells to work as expected, and The growth of tumors. Note: Even if stem cells are your own cells, there are still safety risks such as those noted above. In addition, if cells are manipulated after removal, there is a risk of contamination of the cells."
@VitoDRF5 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I'm not for this type of therapy. It's very risky and the results are undefinable just given the nature of it. I once worked in a clinical trial using stem cells injection to treat heart attack patients and some of the recipients ended up going into heart failure or dying from other complications. It's not innately safe just because they're your own cells.

"We had one little mishap, where I think just the last quarter of a vile, it must have gone through the vein and the solution must have gone into my arm, like under the skin rather than the vein and it just attacked my arm, it just like swelled up, went achey, uh couldn't feel my fingers but, it's come it's come back it's fine, these things happen." Eddie, my favorite person in the world right now, other than my mother, you didn't "just move" to cause that to happen lol.. If something bad happens to you because of that place, we as fans know a LOT of people that will deal with that place if your wife doesn't first! Big love!

I have a PhD in human Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine (they are closely tied). Mesenchymal stem cell transplantation is not defined from a biological standpoint, as well as the standard operative practices for handling it and culture them. Although it did not show life-threatening side effects, also the benefits of mesenchymal stem cell transplants are to be convincingly proven (statistically significant and consistent - not the "my cousin had a stem cell transplant" or "I know a guy.." - I apologise for the sarcastic tone). Different preparations, and the clonal heterogeneity makes a great deal of difference. It surprises me how some of these treatments are available in private clinics outside Europe for a sum, which I fear it might breed complacency and false expectations (if it hasn't already). Don't mean to allegedly criticize the job this specific clinic, it's not my place nor profession and I trust they comply to the FDA requirements in terms of safety. However, the philosophy "if you can't prove it's dangerous, then it's safe (and maybe works)" does not apply well in biology. I am writing this because I am almost sure someone might end up finding this video while searching for information, and it is only meant as a word of caution over the matter. To date, the most efficacious way to fight diseases is to prevent it (meaning: preventive medicine, and monitoring). With all being said, I wish Eddie to feel all the benefits he is wishing for! Cheers

Whatever the efficacy of such a treatment I imagine the placebo effect is going to be pretty strong at least.

@@LOOTS243 Stem cell isn't indeed, but acupuncture is, and a chiropractor is not a placebo, but it can make your body worse than it actually already is. It fixes a problem in rare cases, but i would not recommend it.

1:10 "Stem cells have extremely anti-inflammatory properties" English is not my native, but it does not sound right grammatically. I'd say "extreme" or "extremely strong". Anyway, that sounds dodgy.

As I understand it, Stem cells are "blank" cells, they don't have a "function" or "tissue" assigned yet. They're like the marble before a sculptor has gotten to it. Idk if that's entirely correct or well explained, but yeah... So they find that inflammatory tissue and become whatever cell your body needs?

try and not worry about the numbness and odd feeling in your arm bro, I have kidney failure (transplant 19/08/2019) and when I was going through a scary moment where I nearly died I was rushed to the operating theatre and they stopped the internal bleed, but in that time I was going in and out of conciseness and I had lost a lot of blood, they have to put so much fluid back in me that my arm went numb and felt horrid, its where your vain starts to get bigger and detach from the skin that's keeping it in place, and even after I survived that ordeal I had a lot of other fluid med put in me after the emergency op that I had the feeling for hours, and I got to thank you and the boyz Brian Shaw, Nick Best, and Robert Oberst for getting me fit for my transplant, id love to meet you guys one day, im still recovering from my transplant and got another month before I can head back to the gym and lift weights again but got to start from the beginning again after lossing the muscle I once had, im 26 now and got kidney failure when I was 21, thanks again bro xx
