Not sure what kind of "female representation" ppl are looking for but a tonne of makers out there are female and do art in the fandom. Do they mean attending fur cons? KZbinrs? Content creators etc? I keep hearing about sexism in the fandom tho since I don't have twitter or active socials idk what examples would be, I just agree the fandom is heavily male dominated in many aspects. If the sexism is anything like how gamer dudes treat women online then I get the idea; blatant misogyny and little regard for women generally speaking. UDBSUHDHD NO ONE TALKS ABOUT THE WARRIOR CATS KID TO FURRY PIPELINE AND HOW STRONG IT IS! The worst part is a lot of times it's forced onto us until we finally just accept it. as a kid I'd never really thought of myself as a furry but I loved warrior cats. And because of the fact that I would draw them in an anthropomorphic way, people would accuse me of being a furry even though I wasn't at the time. I finally just accepted it when I actually did start liking furry stuff
