The folks that messed with the 25-06 found it could be moved to magnum status with IMR 4831 and 26" barrels. I have owned a couple over the years a still have one fine caliber. Popular here in PA believe it or not.

Trying to get some decent accuracy out of 117 gr BTSP in my Remington 700 SPS. If this next next set doesn't work out, just picked up some 117 gr SSTs. Powders used have been IMR4350, IMR4831, VV N550, and VV N165. Haven't been able to get below 1 1/4" groups @ 100 yds. Good luck and stay safe!!! 😉😉😉

I too wasn't able to get good results with 117's so I went to the 110's and both speed and accuracy improved allot. Best wishes on your future results.

I am a 25/06 user as well. I have taken elk and moose with my mods 700. Still shoots bugholes. I would like to see a comparison of bottleneck lever action rifles. Box magazine type I have a few, they are great horseback and don't give up much to a turnbolt in the accuracy department. Browning chambers them in some pretty high intensity rounds, so does Henry. Savage , Winchester and others in the past also have. (MIROKU does now)

Great shooting, Browning rifles usually are accurate. The rest of this comment is more concerning your last video. I find that the magneto speed tends to walk regardless of the barrel, so I normally wrap some electrical tape around the barrel to give the chronograph more traction. However, the thumb nut still needs to be cranked hard when shooting 300WM

The 25-06 is a timeless performer. It's nice to see someone working with the 100 grain pills. One of the few calibers that can go from varmints to Elk. Last note is you have the habit of immediately putting your trigger finger in the trigger guard after you chamber the round and before you have your head down on the rifle and on target. Not a great practice. Feel free to delete the comment after you read it. It is meant to be constructive criticism.

Thanks for watching. Finger in the trigger guard yes, finger on the trigger no, until tready to shoot. Just my preference.

Q: So with the RL22 and 23 do you see any difference in how they fall in your power dispenser? I tried loading. 25-06 in spent corboin DPX cases and notice the charges were not consistence. I was using a RCBS poweder-flow or what it was called back then.
@davestrohmeyer-saddleupsho8009Ай бұрын
Can't answer that, because I do not use a powder dispenser. I hand (Lee dipper) and weigh each load.
