okay let me put a few top notch examples of English phrasal verbs in this response.the first one I have for you is 'read out' this means to read something using your voice.for example, you should read this lesson of your textbook out .and the next one I have for you is 'knock off'.it is used to say someone to be mute or silent.for example, the teacher said to their noisy students that knock it off.then,i have for you is 'take sb out '.this means to take someone to a restaurant to have a meal together.for example, ranjan took me out at around 8pm as I was just bored at that point of time.so,ma'am! these are the three examples of phrasal verbs with their definitions.

Honestly, I'd love to add the phrasal verb *get to*. It usually means to arrive at a place. But I'd love to add it to the list in the sense of 'doing something in the normal course of life; needing to do something or having to'. An example of that would be: when you travel to the U.K., you *get to* meet new people and identify with new cultures. Leila, Thanks a million; I just love you.

It has been a lovely lesson, as do you. I do know all of them ! I generally use : MacMillan Phrasal Verbs; Oxford Phrasal Verbs; Cambridge Phrasal verbs; English Phrasal Verbs in use. Might I trouble you for a question ? Could you suggest the best phrasal verbs book to me ? My homework: (Cover up): Mr Klinton tried to cover up his affair with a woman. (Water down): Leila, I really do not like this wine, it's too watered down! (Gloss Over): Leila, my Dear, you cannot gloss over this dreadful moment, (Spur on): The sunny could spur on the virus and the rapid development of the entity. (Faff around): Leila & Sabrah don't faff around all the time, please ! You are women now! (Fish out): Leila fished the fifty pound note out of the lavatory. (Wolf down): Leila confessed to having wolfed down all chocolate and the nutella. ( Pig out in ) : Leila confessed to having pigged out on carbonara. I was wondering if I might dare to ask you a question? Michael Swan (Pratical English Usage) proclaimed at page 435, "One can use a subject pronoun after to be verb: it's I instead of it's me, so could I say: If I were HE/SHE, I would not go. Am I wrong ? Andrea
