1. Bring someone up - To raise a child, Grow up - To Become an Adult, Bring Sth Up - To mention something or raise an issue 2. Cut Sth out - Meaning: "Stop it". 3. Hold Back - To Stop yourself from doing or saying something 4. Go on to (Do Sth) - Move on to do something 5. Own Up (To Sth) - To admit or confess that you are guilty and did something wrong 6. Rule Out - To Exclude, Prevent, Discount, Reject or Discard 7. Stick up for someone - To support or stand up for, defend someone 8. Use up - To consume or Finish something 9. Give way to Sth/Sb - To be replaced by something especially because it is better, cheaper, easier, etc 10. Look into Sth - Investigate or research 11. Get back to sth/Sb - To return to someone or something, often with an answer 12. Get back at someone for something - To get revenge on someone 13. Give in - To surrender, especially in a fight or argument 14. Go ahead - To go in front of someone, or to give permission to do or say something 15. Hold out for Sth/Sb - To continue to demand something or wait for something 16. Mix up - To confuse one thing for another 17. Dod off - To doze, have a short sleep or nap or snooze 18. Set aside - Save/keep for later usually for a specific purpose 19. Sort Sth out - To arrange/ Organise or fix a problem 20. Work Sth out - To come up with a solution or a compromise with someone 21. Wind up - in the End/ Final 22. Put up with Sth/someone - To tolerate or accept Sth reluctantly 23. Put off, Be put off by put Sb of Sth - To make someone not want to do something, or to make someone not like someone or something 24. To look up to Meaning: to admire or respect somebody Usage: Everybody searching for a hero, People need someone to look up to... A song by Whitney Houston 3.1 : To pull (sth) down Meaning: To demolish or to destroy Usage: They pulled the house down and redeveloped the site 3.2 : To pull (sb) down Meaning: To make somebody less happy, healthy or successful. Usage: That virus she had two months ago really pulled her down and she still hasn't fully recovered.

My list of advanced phrasal verbs: 1) gaze upon=to look steadily I often gaze upon the flowers in her garden. 2) look up to= to admire someone I really look up to Leila.I want to be like her when I'm older.She is my idol. 3) bring about: to cause sth to occur/happen The greenhouse effect brings about global warming. 4) stumble upon: to find sth by accent/ without the intention of finding it = come across I stumbled upon some old photos when I was cleaning out my grandparents' house. 5) come into= to inherit I came into a small fortune when my grandmother died. 6) pay off = to give a good result I worked hard all the year, and my efforts paid off when I got high marks

To stand someone up: to fail or avoid a prearranged meeting, especially a date without prior notification: Clara stood me up at the theatre. I won't stand you up, I give you my word. To fend for oneself: After his father passed away, he had to learn to fend for himself. They left me in the streets, leaving me to fend for myself. To crack up: to laugh heartily. Phrasal Verb according to me is: "Run into" - to meet someone unexpectedly or to make contact with physical object. Examples: I always run into Sam at the mall! okay let me put a few top notch examples of English phrasal verbs in this response.the first one I have for you is 'read out' this means to read something using your voice.for example,you should read this lesson of your textbook out .and the next one I have for you is 'knock off'.it is used to say someone to be mute or silent.for example,the teacher said to their noisy students that knock it off.then,i have for you is 'take sb out '.this means to take someone to a restaurant to have a meal together.for example,ranjan took me out at around 8pm as I was just bored at that point of time.so,ma'am! these are the three examples of phrasal verbs with their definitions.

To palm sth off on s1. To trick, sell a bad deal to, to swindle or persuade someone to accept something you know is not of a value. Leila and Sabra are really sweet talkers, they could potentially palm off anything on you without you even noticing. Salute ladies😘😘

It's superb Thanks. Put sb out =1.to give sb trouble or extra work He put his hosts out by arriving very late. 2.to make sb upset or angry I was quite put out by their selfish behaviour.

Honestly, I'd love to add the phrasal verb *get to*. It usually means to arrive at a place. But I'd love to add it to the list in the sense of 'doing something in the normal course of life; needing to do something or having to'. An example of that would be: when you travel to the U.K., you *get to* meet new people and identify with new cultures. Leila, Thanks a million; I just love you.

To muddle up means to get confused between 2 things or more An example sentence would be : Uhh , I always muddle up these two tenses .they are tough !

Put off or hold it out...they can be used as to delay something..?? For 25th one..come into ...to inherit Get by..to survive..roll out..to market something or making it available.. It has been a lovely lesson, as do you. I do know all of them ! I generally use : MacMillan Phrasal Verbs; Oxford Phrasal Verbs; Cambridge Phrasal verbs; English Phrasal Verbs in use. Might I trouble you for a question ? Could you suggest the best phrasal verbs book to me ? My homework: (Cover up): Mr Klinton tried to cover up his affair with a woman. (Water down): Leila, I really do not like this wine, it's too watered down! (Gloss Over): Leila, my Dear, you cannot gloss over this dreadful moment, (Spur on): The sunny could spur on the virus and the rapid development of the entity. (Faff around): Leila & Sabrah don't faff around all the time, please ! You are women now! (Fish out): Leila fished the fifty pound note out of the lavatory. (Wolf down): Leila confessed to having wolfed down all chocolate and the nutella. ( Pig out in ) : Leila confessed to having pigged out on carbonara. I was wondering if I might dare to ask you a question? Michael Swan (Pratical English Usage) proclaimed at page 435, "One can use a subject pronoun after to be verb: it's I instead of it's me, so could I say: If I were HE/SHE, I would not go. To frown upon (to do) smthg = to consider (doing) smthg inappropriate. In the UK, it is frowned upon to cut queues.

I think it could be clam up. That phrasal verb really speaks to my mind. It means to stop talking becouse you ' re bewildered frightened or simply don't want to. It is interesting as clam is a name of a mollusc. She clammed up when police officer asked her what happened that night.
