I like the word 'karuthal' in my native language - Malayalam in Kerala, the Southern State in India. The word 'Karuthal' means concern/care! This feel is getting deteriorated in all sphere of life nowadays and from the humanity in a larger scale! Let's care all around us and keep a concern on our fellow beings! Thank you all!🌺🦋

Now that I think about it, there is a Spanish word which means exactly the same as "shenanigan", and it is "añagaza". I know for you is an impossible one to pronounce, but when pronouncing it I have realized both sounds are kind of similar, except the initial "s" of shenanigan. There could have a remote relationship between them, maybe they are cognates of a word from another language.

Good job Sabrah! I don't think the Queen would resign her invitation to both of you! By the way, I got confused with your pronunciation of mischievous in "twinkle". Is this something regional? Thanks a lot for your devotion and charm!!
@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah

You can say it either way. It could be an aspect of my regional accent perhaps although mostly I speak with modern rp. Thanks for your comment 💕

I find "to ripple" and "literature" are two beautiful English words, but there are many more. In Spanish, I like the word "abstruso" which means very difficult and complicated. Its own pronunciation is difficult for a Spanish speaker and the word embodies its meaning.

Hello Sabrah, What's the difference between elude and avoid?
@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah
@LoveEnglishwithLeilaSabrah 4 жыл бұрын
Good question - avoid is more that you want to avoid something you have a choice. But elude is that it escapes you - whatever it is you would like to achieve it but it escapes you.

~~~~~~ In my books ~~~~~~ I have your photos displayed on my keyboards I have your photo tucked between poetic pages…. Sometimes I can’t stop looking at it…but it’s you -you know? I like the way you consider your smile that sparkle in your eyes- I know that’s cliché but what better way to describe irrepressible light? Sometimes metaphor cheapens the stars Your skin is traced, honey and then-it’s a lump in my throat - a starved kiss on a vintage picture But just like Cummings…I have a secret… I share you with Baudelaire And he tells you how desperately he loves her… how he paints pines and cinnamon on her skin …….. I hope his words etch orchids on your bones Sappho leaves an eyelash and a loose ribbon on the shoulder of your blouse and the red looks really good on you, baby… She offers you figs that never go out of season Sexton is winking from her beach chair- she’s the synonym for sexy with tanned legs and sand swept hair…and if I didn’t revere her so I’d withhold my bookmark But you belong with the grace of these poets In the houses where I left my condemned heart and woke with a chest full of roses Whenever I read great love poetry, That is your face I read and there is no closing verse to my love -my love Each lifetime finds your bookmark in my soul ❤️
