Are swedes a thing where you live? My teenager discovered Lamb Stew as his favourite food last summer in Yorkshire! Cheap cuts - long stew - yum! 1 kg Lamb or Beef cubed and fried off, 2 onions and garlic fried, pan washed out with 1,25l broth, 900g or more root veg like swedes, parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, 500 g or more potatoes, 2 tblsp starch, 2 tblsp mustard, 2 laurel, 1 tblsp thyme, 3 tblsp Worcestershire Sauce, salt, pepper. 5 h High, 8 servings! Yum! As Swedes are easily 1 kg, easy making a second bag!😊

We call them turnips and they are a type of rutabaga here. We have them but they are not prominent in our cooking. I ate them a lot growing up on the farm because my family planted them in the garden. We would have them in stew, or mashed like potatoes and even eat them raw, cut up into sticks and dipped in ranch dressing. They aren't popular in grocery stores although you can certainly find them. Lamb is also not a common meat here. Again, you can always find it but I have only cooked with it once or twice and I can't recall ever being served it at someone's house. Your recipe looks good though! Thank you so much!

​@@FreezerMeals101My 17 yo isn't too big a fan of veggies, nor things that are mixed together, (Except Goulash, Bolognese, Chicken Fricassee or your Garden Taco Rice !) I was just sooo excited sitting in that National Trust House Café realizing THIS was a way to feed him veggies! He doesn't even like mustard!😂 It is a weekly staple in our house now in that I freeze-prep veggie bags from surplus root veg and add in fresh meat, fill up to the max with potato etc on the day! I might feed him left-overs for several following days! I love your videos and have learned a lot! 🙏🏼💚

@FreezerMeals101 the only problem I have seen so far is the oil, I have freeze dried different vegetables separately and then made them into a vegetable soup and added broth to rehydrate and cook, that works very well. And that soup leftover refreeze dried good but I haven't tried to rehydrate it yet.
