I have seen many versions of Burgmueller, but this is now my model. I would like to have someone accuse me of being a Zhdanov clone in the future. Of coure, I'm dreaming, but you have to have goals. And if I achieved this level, I would be seeking my own voice. Merci beaucoup.

I am a restarter in piano playing...and I'm stuck because the pinky and the ring fingers of my left hand are very weak and while playing Hanon they do what they want😢. Virtuosity has never been my strength 😂...I practice again every day, but I have the feeling that I can't move forward.... PS: I have small hands😬

Around 11:33 at the end of La bergeronnette there's a non-text note (d instead of b) in both versions. Probably a case of slightly different editions. I suppose this will also account for different phrasing markings and fingerings.

These are spectacular! Just bought your course as going through this book and Anna Magdalene. Speaking of Anna Magdalene Notebook, do you think you'll ever do a course on it? I have a bit of difficulty sometimes interpreting Baroque repertoire and how I'm meant to phrase certain passages, what should be staccato or shouldn't etc. There's also just a lot of awesome pieces of music in it like the famous Aria and pretty much all the Menuets.

Amazing, this is really highly valuable for studying. Which level would you rate Burgmüller op.100 compared to Czerny op.599?

Somewhere close, but in my subjective opinion, Burgmüller has more artistic value and allows teaching interpretation and expressiveness better

Then you’d better go for his op.109, or maybe Czerny 299! I have a detailed course on 10 etudes from Czerny’s op.299, and plan to re-build a course on Burgmüller’s op.109. bit.ly/Czerny299

Very nice. I'm an adult beginner working out of Piano Adventures and Czerny First Studies. Would it be to soon to work on these?
@DenZhdanovPianist2 ай бұрын
No, the easiest etudes from this book are suitable for beginners. Those are at least nno.1-7. But it would be easier if you’d have a proper instruction for them.

Dennis! I need some Etude to fix tension on my wrist while playing very rapidly repeated chords
@DenZhdanovPianist Жыл бұрын
Then you’d rather need not a specific etude, but an experienced teacher who would look into your playing and explain to you how to adjust your technique. I also explain in a great detail how to build the efficient repeated chords technique in the Late Beginners Course on the example of Kabalevsky’s Toccatina, check out the first link in the video’s description⬆️

Re La petite reunion (3:02) Aren't those thirds supposed to be played as 3-5 , 2-4, 1-3 ... ?
@DenZhdanovPianist Жыл бұрын
Fingering is always a suggestion. There is literally no rule what is “right” or “wrong”, until it sounds the way the performer intends. There is a similar upward passage with a suggestion of using 2-4 all the time in one of the available editions, so I play this one following the analogy.

Hello Denis, Could you recommended anything how could i start, because i have fast fingers but couldn’t play Chopin’s Etude. Does it worth start from Czerny Op299?
@DenZhdanovPianist11 ай бұрын
I can’t say because it depends on your level. “Fast fingers” is not a level description but rather a pleasing self-evaluation. Czerny 299 is not a beginner’s book, some of them is not far from Chopin etudes by difficulty.

@greatmusicchannel8549 it’s quite difficult to rebuild technique from scratch on your own, it might be a good idea to find an experienced teacher, saves much time. I am working on a comprehensive course with exactly the goal of guiding learners through a series of practical lessons in order to optimize and rebuild piano technique, but most probably it will be released only in 2024. In any case, you start by tracking and reducing static tension in the arms/shoulders, gaining support in the bed of the key, and familiarizing yourself with the concepts of forearm rotation, instant muscle release after the strike, motions -in/-out and their effective range of application.
@greatmusicchannel854911 ай бұрын
@@DenZhdanovPianist Actually i solved the Sholder/Arm and forearm problem, also finger breaking. Only wrist and rotation problems have it. I watched your videos and Edna Golandaky, both of you good explained. I would like to be under control to tell me someone how correctly making this exercises. P.S in Tbilis we do not have high level of the solving this problem. In mlst case Teacher could build pupils technic from zero, In my case, i need more experienced teacher in this cases. If you ever worked on this problem will take your class time to time and halp me to solve this problem. Thanks Dear
