I pay $850 per year for my car insurance. I have to pay $2350 per year for the ev cars on top of the overpriced vehicle cost. I agree. I stay with the hybrids!

I pay $85 for insurance on my Nissan Leaf and I haven't bought gasoline or paid for an oil change in 10 years. Electric vehicles pay for themselves.

I always wonder, when I read about very expensive sports- and super-cars, abysmal reliability and quality ratings, how affluent people receive that. One has to be rich indeed to not care because one owns other cars and the expenses of repairs are "no object." OK, well, people in those circumstances are the rightful prey of the exotic car manufacturers. And, actually, not that many cars over $100,000+ are sold. But more grounded people don't waste money on flagrantly expensive cars, trucks, SUVs, etc. I just subscribe to Motor Trend magazine, enjoy the monthly issues, then recycle it. I find the information enjoyable, but don't threaten my well-being with expensive cars I have no business owning.

Cars nowadays all look the same: huge screens (to keep people doing anything but driving properly); an array of stupid led all over; ugly wheel design and astronomic price tags. But what I hate the most: no gear or hand brake sticks. Why?!

Me thinks the showroom in 2024 are going to be flooded with unsold EV's. All I want is a "simple" and economical car void of all the gadgets. A 1992 Subaru Legacy with a stick would be perfect! There are a ton of issues associated with EV's. No thanks

Plug in hybrid is the only way to go. Your daily driving on electric, and gas for long distance. My PHEV is getting 80-90 mpg average on a tankful. The push for electric cars and longer range is only a ploy to drive up the costs and profits. 90% or more of daily driving is less than 30 miles, so why 250 mile range? Just adds expensive batteries that never get used.

agreed. the battery pack of a single 250 mile EV could meet the needs of 10 PHEVs and cutting CO2 emissions for that small fleet of cars instead of one EV.

The 2.5 litres 4 cycle will be in hybrid and plug in hybrid models. Not 2.4 turbo as the hybrids dont use turbo engines with hybrid due to the akinson cycle engines.

You cannot put out an EV fire unless the vehicle is submerged in water or just left to burn itself out..... EV is not the way forward it is useless. Climate con is full effect.

What do you mean your getting ev now. The Kona alway can with the ev , got the ev in mk1 and mk1.5 . Thus mk 2 version will offer the same except this time the car was designed from the out set as ev first. Ice tecth was added to a ev platform this time. Ev are better.

Electric vehicles are a non starter for most of NYC where garages are non existent along with parking spots. Even if you are lucky enough to find a parking spot in front of your house there is no way you can run a power cord without people tripping over them and suing your butt, or in the best case scenario just stealing them.

The GMC Sierra Denali's interior is about as premium looking as my neighbor's Toyota Camry SE company car. What a joke! I cannot imagine what all of this electronic/Electric nonsense will cost when the warranties expire. These are nothing more than 100K throw-aways. Nothing new under the sun. The same old design models with little embellishments here and there. Gentlemen, when you say a new model, something new and different, it means something special, totally special. For example, I have finished the construction of a functional technical prototype for cyclists, but it can be applied without problems to vehicles. In addition to the 3 classes of vehicles known and being similar in terms of technology to each other, we have created a new class of vehicles different from those existing on the market. Yes, so I can say that it is going to be a new product, a new vehicle.
