I recently was looking at good used calipers and the prices were higher than I wanted to spend. I ended up just sticking with my cheapo digitals. Winning these would be great, cheers!

Coming to this rather late, I'm not overly concerned about winning. I would like to own a decent caliper like that. I did purchase a cheap Harbor Freight one some time back, and it's battery life is terrible, and it lacks in terms of accuracy.. I've seen a lot of complaints about battery life in these digital calipers, so I'm wondering how long a battery lasts in yours? Oh, and I tried the ebay link to look at purchasing one, and the link doesn't work.

I'm afraid the winner of this draw was announced over a year ago, so there is no chance of winning at this point. The battery life is definitely way better than the cheaper imports, such as those branded by Harbor Freight. I've changed the battery twice in years of ownership. Looks like the eBay listing has expired, but you can find this model by searching for MW110-15DB If you're in the UK, I would recommend Machine DRO as a supplier.

@@AdventureswithaVerySmallLathe Doing a search on that number gave me very little, though there were a few of those ebay error pages in there. Adding an "L" to the end of the number gave me much better results. Though pretty much all of them were in the UK, elsewhere in Europe, or Australia, with absurd shjipping charges to get it to me here in the US. I'll keep looking....

@@Roy_Tellason It looks like Moore and Wright don't have a distributor in the US. I can't see an obvious difference between the models with and without the L suffix, and they both seem to be a similar price.

I could put those to great use. I just bought my first milling machine and don’t yet own calipers. Well, other than the small plastic ones they give away at Metal Supermarkets. They don’t feel like a precision tool weirdly.
