I have had my 2022 Tahoe Z71 since December of 2022. The car I had before was a 2020 Yukon 5.3L. I did have to get two retrofits for the the seat warmers and the park assist. I probably could have done without the park assist since it cries like a small child and just as annoying. Zero mechanical issues. Also, the redesign of the Tahoe/Yukon have made this my favorite car/truck I have ever owned. Passengers are much more comfortable riding in back than in my Yukon. Improvments to the dash, center console and body style are some of my favorite redesigns. My 2022 has the 6.2L, air ride adaptive suspension and magnetic ride control which is a huge upgrade from my Yukon. The fuel economy isn't bad either when driving long distances. When I park my Tahoe, I am picky. It is larger than my old Yukon and I generally look for a large space or park far away from everyone. Only because I don't want it to get door dinged. I would give it a 9/10, losing 1 point because I had to settle for my second color choice, which I still love. **NOTE I am so thankful the 2022 Tahoe DOESN'T come with adaptive cruise. I absolutley hate that "feature" in cars. Regular cruise is fine.

Suburban knocked 240’, frame bent, all rear windows out, front seat backs, family went to ER in Chevrolet salesman’s car. He drove it to the dealership (hard to make left turns). No injuries. I genuinely don't know what Jodi is talking about. When you hit a pot hole or anything in the road the Tahoe rolls over it without a bounce. Even though it has a truck underpinning it rides like an SUV and is not stiff (or violent) at all. I guess my (and my wife's) experience has been vastly different than hers. The ride is smooth as butter.
@agirlnamedjewels11 ай бұрын
Okay, I have a 2023 Yukon xl Denali, the ride quality is amazing! I drive 10 miles on a gravel mountain road to get to our cabin. Think, potholes, snow, ice, washboard is night and day compared to our bmw or ridge line. The cabin interior noise is a lot quieter than other cars too! You barely feel speed bumps or imperfection in the highway. I strongly disagree that it shifts you back and fourth. We also got the duramax, we get 30 mpg when we go over the pass (highway driving). When fueling up on fuel we get over 600 mpg between fuel ups. We didn’t buy this to drive in the city or parallel park. When driving in city we drive small suv. I am 5’6 and can easily reach everything behind third row, yes when you have third row down you have to climb in to reach things but I would expect the same the thing from any suv that deep. I do agree it can be hard to park in parking lot because of size, I just park out with the trucks and get my steps in 😅. Honestly my only complaint is the price, it was pricey but we plan on keeping it for a long time!

I have 104K on a 2016 model. It's had one leak in the front differential (~$800); otherwise normal maintenance only. It's been a great vehicle. It does fit in my standard size garage, so Jodi must have a different standard than I do. A key drawback of the 2016 model was the suspension, which had a solid rear axle, was behind 2016 standards, and beyond primitive now. Cowl shake, stuttering, and similar vibrational issues are very much on display in this truck. Chevy substantially refined the suspension setup for the current model. After 8 years I'm soon to replace it; I'm not going to buy another one but only because my kids are older and we can get away with a smaller vehicle next time around. But I would heartily recommend these to anyone who needs a vehicle of this size.

@iggibars11 ай бұрын
If you complain about the rear axle, these large SUVs were never meant for you. You should've bought a minivan and leave the real suvs for people that actually need them. A solid rear axle is what should be standard on ALL full-size ladder-frame SUVs. They can actually handle weight on top of them, unlike the junk on current Tahoes/Suburbans. Also, the rear suspension on the new generation has lower suspension clearance than most minivans. Can't even haul without squatting like crazy, and the ride gets even worse when compensating for squat.

My wife and I have owned five Tahoe's (01, 03, 07x2, and 16). We now have a 23 Suburban. I will never go back to a Tahoe. Reason. A Tahoe is 99% of the headache of a Suburban without the usefulness of ALL. THE. SPACE. I can pack 80% as much behind the 3rd row in a Suburban as a Tahoe behind the 2nd row. I can close the hatch with a full sheet of plywood. 2nd row captains chairs have way more leg room. It rides better due to the longer wheel base. MPG is marginally less. We just took our Z71 Suburban with the 5.3 on a 700 mile straight drive to Orlando. We regularly maintained speeds above 80-85. We only got about 14-15mpg. To get 17+ we would have had to keep it no more than low 70's. It might pull 20mpg if you set the cruise at 65. And lastly, that lady at the end complaining about the Tahoe not fitting in her garage? You having to much junk in your garage is not the Tahoe's fault. I can fit TWO Suburbans side by side in my standard size 2 car garage bay. Get a storage unit for your 1k worth of junk so you can park your 70k vehicle inside.
