Yiddish is a language, used by millions of people in Eastern Europe for hundreds of years. To say that its not a language, is insulting. There is a language developing in America, that I call Yeshivish, for lack of a better word. That is the language their talking and the language Ashkenazi Orthodox Jews think in. I'll give you an example "My daughter's morah just became a Killah. Not only is that syntax incomprehensible, just translating the non English words doesn't tell you what I'm saying. Just translating the non English origin words, the sentence is My daughter's teacher just became a bride. What I actually said is my daughter's Hebrew teacher just got engaged. And even thats wrong, Not her Hebrew teacher, her religious studies teacher. And the subtex, and its probably the first sentence in a whole conversation.

I’m a Latter-day Saint ( Mormon is a nick name given to us by people who burned down our homes so LDS is a little more hip) and live in Utah. The Jewish people have a very VERY special place in our collective heart. I don’t understand why so much hate is AGAIN coming to the Jewish community. It makes me beyond frustrated and angry. I adore Ben and watch him every day. It’s fantastic to have a man of faith involved in the American political game.

first of all, no, the Torah forbids any Jew at least from reading books about how to worship idols, which it's been established by the rabbis that yushkah is an idol, also gentiles are forbidden from learning the Talmud except regarding the parts that deal with the 7 mitzvos of Noach, the punishment for gentiles for reading more than that is execution by decapitation, even if we currently don't have the courts to do so, this is the law of G-d which is destined to be carried out one way or another, so that wouldn't be a good situation for any of us Second, the truth of something is not dependent on how someone feels by reading it, it's dependent on where it comes from Third, you're acting like both of our points are equal, they are not, the Talmud was passed down directly from Moshe who recieved it through the 40 years in the desert and taught it to millions, and in general it was passed down through a very specific list of people mentioned at the beginning of Mishneh Torah (that part may be permitted for gentiles to read), and that claim is substantiate through thousands of years of direct teacher to student tradition that all the official Jewish courts agree on, whether it be sefardic or askenazic etc, and can be directly traced back by means of any family tree of any Jew in the world right now, if one were to go at most 10 generations back they can find a direct Torah/Talmud teacher who can himself verify who he learnt from etc so the way back to the list mentioned in Mishaneh Torah that goes back to Moshe getting it from G-d That is the claim being made regarding the Torah, what claim it's made regarding the NT? Again, it doesn't matter what it said, it matters where it comes from, what is even the claim here? Another point made earlier that seemed to have been skipped, but I would recommend reconsidering it now: The NT and other yushkuh groups deny the Talmud midrash and Zohar entirely (if they didn't then they wouldn't accept yushkuh since he is denied openly in all of them), which means they believe that the written Torah itself want given with any explanations, they believe only it itself was given from the Creator with nothing else, correct me if this assumption is wrong If it's not wrong, that means they believe the Creator of the universe, at least originally, only gave the literal written word of the Torah without any explanations at all If this is the case of what they are claiming, that means that they themselves have an opening contradictory position, that doesn't even need to be disproved from other sources _ The reason it's contradictory is because the Torah means "law, instruction" it's literally filled with law after law, especially after the exodus, do this, don't do that, or else this and this punishment. For example it says not to worship any idol and not to every make a graven image, or else one would be punished with the death penalty _ The thing is, it doesn't say what kind of idols, it doesn't say who can or cannot make them, it doesn't say the material they have to be made of in order to be liable to the punishment, it doesn't say how one must worship it in order to be liable to the punishment, it doesn't give any details at all in the slightest, so how can it give such a serious punishment, of not even one detail was given at all? _ _ According to us, it's not a problem, because the Talmud and basic methods for the Torah analysis as well as a direct appointment of people with the authority to do such analysis to derive laws were all directly given by the Creator of the universe at literally the exact same time as the written Torah, in some specific cases even right after Moshe was given the verse, they already had the courts judging it according to the explanation Moshe recieved along with it, and that claim is substantiated through thousands of years of direct, documented tradition that can be independently verified through the family history of any Jew in the world right at this moment _ But according to the December 24thians who deny the Talmud ever existed before it was written down, then why would the Creator of the universe give a bunch of jibberish nonsense to millions of Jews and expect them to follow it for at least a while? How were they supposed to know any details of anything they were given? It says 'don't do this or else be stoned' but it doesn't even say what 'this' is! It's totally ambiguous and could be interpreted by anyone to mean anything, if ONLY the written word was given without it's direct explanation and methods of derivation etc., but if that's the case then how could it be a book of LAW with the expectation of being enforced? And if it was never meant to be enforced then why would it contain punishments for specific actions? Why would the Creator of the universe do this at all? _ It can be hard to believe that the refutation to literally all forms of yushkuh-ism is really so simple,, but this is the frustration the Jews have lived with for almost two thousand years, we weren't ever allowed to speak up, whether there would be debates the Jews would either win in a landslide or be threatened by the kings etc to lose in purpose, by the entire basis is completely contradictory, and billions have been fooled by their ancestors, _ I really hope you read at least the above two paragraphs and think about it, please don't be hesitant to continue asking more questions if you have them, but just know that when faced with a list of options, it stands to reason that the simplest answer is the correct one

Second, a couple of things I don't understand - by 'Dec.24thians' I suspect you mean Christians but I have no idea what yushkuh is. You're very knowledgeable so I think you know that as I am Christian, I/we accept the books of Moshe (Moses, as we call him). I'm not asking you to believe 'my' books of the Bible. I was looking for someone friendly to help me understand Psalms.

Correction Torah- Pentateuch (first five books of Moses from Genesis to Deuteronomy) Tanakh- Old Testament (Genesis to Malachi)
@יעלוייסברג
@יעלוייסברג 4 жыл бұрын
As a Hebrew speaker, their pronunciation of these words isn't really correct, and you too wrote them wrong, And some of your explanations aren't true either. Pusky-Halacha(פוסקי הלכה) Daf Yomi (דף יומי-daily page) - It is a specific page learned on a specific day, but it's not from the Torah, it's from the Talmud. Shul- That's not the word for synagogue, in Hebrew it's Bate-Kneset (בית כנסת) Davening- It's not a thing at all. Hashem ('השם, ה)- That doesn't mean g'd, the literal translation is "the name", the second commandment in the Ten Commandments forbids bearing his name in vain, so Besides prayer, we don't say his name, and instead they say "Hashem" or other titles. Torah- (תורה) The five books given to Moses by g'd which is only part of the Tanach (תנ"ך) that is what Christians call "the Old Testament". Sfarim (ספרים) it's just means books. Shabbos\ Sabbath- These are both not the right pronunciation, and they're wrong about it, too, it's Shabat (שבת). Halachot / Halacha- Halacha is the singler form, and Halachot is the plural formת it's the same word (הלכה, הלכות). Parasha (פרשה) D'var Torah (דבר תורה) Mishnaya (משנה) -an analysis of the Torah To determine the Jewish law, the Gemara, also known as the Talmud is an analysis of that. Rabbanim (רבנים) the plural form of rav (רב) Rabbi in english. Schmooze- I have no idea what you meant.

@@יעלוייסברג A lot of the words are Yiddish based like daven (prayer) and shabbos (shabbat). It is not necessarily wrong, it is actually is needed. For a language to be real it needs dialects and variations. It wasn't until 1948 that modern Hebrew became the language of Israel and now its more European in nature compared to Biblical Hebrew (Semitic language).
@יעלוייסברג
@יעלוייסברג 4 жыл бұрын
@@R.N.19 Don't lecture me on my language. Yiddish isn't really a language in itself, it is a mixture of German with Hebrew (and a few other languages), and the Hebrew words in it are accented, and because of that they sound different from their Hebrew origin, it doesn't mean that they are meant to be said that way. And modern Hebrew isn't at all a European language, it is simply a dialect of biblical Hebrew. It's the same language, a modern Hebrew speaker will understand the Bible and will not need a translation, the grammar is a bit different, but it is totally the same language. Modern Hebrew was spoken long before 1948, it was a complete process that began from the end of the 19th century together with the entire Zionist movement that advocated back to Israel and back to the Hebrew language. People like Eliezer Ben Yehuda expanded the language and established new words based on existing Hebrew. Say the word camera in Hebrew (מצלמה) Matslema, it's built from the word Tselem(צלם), which is the biblical word for image, and is taken from the verse about the creation of man in the image of g'd. all modern Hebrew is built like this, it's in no way European.

Also would be good if people like Ben could help others less fortunate in terms of how they survive in the world. Perhaps he does help, I don't mean giving money but helping people who have limited job skills, he is in a position from a professional perspective, these are more helpful than giving money oftentimes. Would like to hear about some of these initiatives if they do exist.

So not that I believe everything in it, but thirty years ago I read the URANTIA book (which is the name of our planet according to this person who received transmission from some kind of alien force): They said this planet is under Quarantine, like we are all in jail here and can not be connected to the rest of the universe any longer. Like Georgia was a penal colony and also Australia, in truth I think the story of Adam and Eve is the story of being DISCONNECTED from the "SOURCE" of all light and love because of the fall of spirits here that will not come out of this place unless they get redeemed, restored to their state of UNITY with the universe, with God: Jews supposedly are the people who come out of this quarantine, get connected and bring the light here so others can come out. Christianity is the WAY it works for it is written in Isaiah 19, Egypt my people (the Egyptians were supposed to start this process), but...........Assyria the works of my hands (Assyria is Christianity in the Old Testament, and Israel my inheritance, once the connection is remade with the HOLY ONE OF ISRAEL, the God of Israel who is supposed to bring an end to the quarantine on this planet. Like bad prison movies, there is a hierarchy of evil controlling evil and it is understood by all. Same here, Satan the god of this world is connected to all our carnal minds, which is the 'seed of the serpent' that is in all of us: God put him at enmity with the seed of the woman (the good root of the tree of knowledge, which is our brain), and if we find the good root, the MASHIACH -Messiah within us and DENY OUR SELVES (the evil root, the carnal mind) then the OIL, the anointing will RISE to bring us out of quarantine that is imposed on everyone else, no matter how small or large of a carnal mind (EGO) they have. There is an education process and the whole thing can be done in one life time or we can go through many bodies to be reconciled to the HIGHER MIND that brings us back into UNITY with all. because death is not of the body but of the soul that is disconnected from its source. Bottom line, this world is ruled by a spirit that is ANTI LIFE, ANTI LOVE, ANTI LIGHT (yes Anti Christ): There are so many schemes going on and so many people who have no choice it seems but to go for the lesser of two evils all the time which is true. BUT if the heart grows weary enough, and tired of the abuse of the evil that rules this quarantined place, they can make a decision to come out and the HELP IS THERE. If you want it, it is there and then you can reconnect and in due time, the reconnect will be here in this earth when those who choose good, life, light over darkness, evil and death, will outnumber them. Till then, we are just going to watch the show where the players root for those whose evil most matches their own desires.

I understand why people who are not fluent in Hebrew use the American pronounciation TOR like the dark web browser but this in not correct especially someone who flaunts his Jewish education and knowledge I would expect to pronounce correctly. Anyone who reads from the Torah for the congregation will be corrected on any mistake they make in the word they are pronouncing, I expect no less from someone who identifies as a knowledgeable person in Jewish liturgy as he does.

@@JDRusse11 ok sure, but the Jewish people in general have been observing the 4 feasts every year for 3333 years, including this year, what makes him special? Also where can you show me in the tanach a clear definition for what the messiah is that is dependent on those things? Last I heard the messiah is one who spreads the teachings of Torah to the whole world, causing all of the Jewish people to do teshuva and return to all the laws of the Torah, causing Hashem to gather them from all ends of the Earth, along with the miraculouslly revelation of the third temple, as it's mentioned in Rambam last 2 chapters, can you provide me somewhere in a Torah source that gives a definition for messiah as one who keeps the 4 feasts, even though every Jew does so?

So New, how is this Ben Shapiro am Orthodox Jew? Just because he wears a black style Kippot, we don’t see him acting as a Yid? No beard, payots, never makes any videos about anything to do with Judaism? What gives? Other then wearing a black Kippot, what Teshuva has he done to further his relationship with HaShem?

@@KoriEmerson Where did you check? At the end of Shmiras HaLashon (Hilchos Rechilus 9:15), the Chofetz Chaim writes that the prohibitions against Lashon Hara and Rechilus do not apply to reshaim and kofrim and that it is, in fact, a mitzvah to mock such persons: “מצוה לפרסם דעתם הכוזבת לעיני הכל ולגנותם, כדי שלא ילמדו ממעשיהם הרעים.” “It is a mitzvah to make their false opinions public before all, and shame them so that others do not learn from their evil deeds.”

The Mitzvah is not to cut the corners of your beard with a razor-there are many kosher electric shavers. And the sideburns may not be cut off. My sons for instance shaved until they became a father. And their payos are long enough to wrap around their ears. And trust me they are very charedi. None of them have smart phones, and the only one with a (strongly filtered) computer in the home, needs it for work.
