Finally Unbelievable is trying to veer back to it's roots. There is more than Christians and Atheists/ Materialists in the world. When you truly get to know and love the diversity of humanity, you come to understand that a truly moral God would wish us to stop fighting over 'stories' about God...and start loving each other unconditionally. xoxo You're back on the right path Justin....now stay there please.

'a truly moral God'??? - An opinion masquerading as truth - where do you get your 'moral' value from? From people, from yourself? It seems like you're an advocate for the religion of Plato Bird. What gives you the authority. or anyone else for that matter, to say what is right or wrong? Is it like the 'Rabbi' in this clip who claims it's all down to each individual? Clearly a self-refuting argument if ever there was one. I appreciate the 'loving each other unconditionally message' but you only have that because of Jesus Christ and his one true church. Forgive me if I sound annoyed but can you blame me? Best regards, Adam

Where do I get my morals from? I am a conscious being who has empathy for others. So I make my decisions about what is moral based on my ability to reason and to seek love and unity....vs hate and disunity. It's not really that complicated Adam, or wouldn't be, if people actually used their free wisely. Step one, no one should choose to make false idols out of ancient books.

This is the very example of post-truth. "relating to or denoting circumstances in which objective facts are less influential in shaping public opinion than appeals to emotion and personal belief: in this era of post-truth politics, it's easy to cherry-pick data and come to whatever conclusion you desire | some commentators have observed that we are living in a post-truth age." Also, truth in its intrinsic value is narrow, and therefore exclusive by nature. That has nothing to do with the Rabbi's claim of being Jesus as true is arrogant, rather truth supports the claims that are correct, and by contrast supports the fact that the other side is false.

I used to speak just like this rabbi. He says he’s happy as he is but the Jewish man who recognizes Yeshua has happiness exuding through his eyes and mouth and hair follicles. He’s joy filled with a direct relationship with Him. That is the difference. I used to be the same. Yeshua came to me when I was 16. It’s taken me until now at 47 to accept Him. Now I feel his presence every day. My happiness is Gods joy filled my heart through Jesus. I’m taking back my Jewish Jesus. I am not a Christian or Messianic Labels. I am a realized complete Jew with Jesus as the Messiah. I would never have believed any of this if He hadn’t revealed Himself to me. It took my Native American fiancé to show me in my own Jewish Bible this undeniable evidence that rabbis stopped sharing with their congratulations: Isiah:53. Shalom. I'm not buying some invisible, eternal, formless, omniscient , omnipotent, deity created us only for us to suffer huge amounts in order to pass some impossible free will test Its much more likely that god doesnt exist anywhere except in our minds and the free will argument is the "get out of jail free" card played by the religious to excuse his non intervention - non existence is much more lucid and coherent explanation that its all a big plan. You make lots of assertions , naturally without a shred of evidence, that God has always been there, he loves everyone etc and this apparent "love" is despite watching on whilst millions of people will die from terrible diseases, famine, tsunamis, holocaust, genocide and the rape and murder of children and may I point out that as he is omnisicient thus knows in ADVANCE that the little 5 year old will be snatched from her distraught parents and then unthinkable things done to her. Now where was HER free will exactly ? The fact that this stuff happens daily cast doubt on a benevolent god existing and "any god that doesnt manifest in any detectable way is indistinguishable from one that doesnt exist" Again it is much more coherent as to me the real explanation of non existence, and furthermore means I don't have to do what you do, which is tap dance and try and explain away the inexplicable.

The Trinity is not explicitly mentioned in the Torah. The book of Torah contains the most detailed ethics of humanity. How could be possible that a book that clearly states the details of women's menstrual blood is not clear on an issue like monotheism, which is the most radical book on the planet. All the verses you use to justify the Trinity have double meanings and multiple interpretations can be taken from it. While the ideological principles must be proven with clear verses and without personal conclusions. I hope you remember God's promise to your fathers and don't lose your way. There is no greater sin than idolatry and polytheism, and those who die believing in polytheism will have no place in the next world.

The rabbi could have phrased it better, and I'm going to try and phrase it better here: Of course accepting almost any faith is accepting that miracles happen. At least two resurrections happen in the Book of Kings (1 Kings 17:21-22, 2 Kings 4:32). The resurrection was never a requirement for the messiah, otherwise, those two random children from the Book of Kings would both be messiahs. Despite these passages, special weight is placed on the resurrection of Jesus in Christianity, as if it somehow overthrows Isaiah 2, and establishes a new criteria for being the messiah!

So, check this out. Now, I was never a church goer until after my live encounter with Jesus in 2016. I received the Holy Spirit that God gave me. Since then, the Holy Spirit literally prompts me when people need help or when God has a word for them. I used to be a mean and selfish person. When the Rabbi talks about social justice and helping out my neighbors, I found out that I couldn't do that in my strength but by God's Spirit. For example; in 2018, my wife and worked at the same place but this day she came in and hour later. She asked me if I needed anything from Chick-fil-A. So I asked for a BEC biscuit. When she got to work, she left the bag on her desk and she was out doing her job. I grabbed the bag and went to work in a ballroom. As my coworker and I left the room, the Holy Spirit told me to give my food to the house keeper who was pushing a large rolling garbage can. But the Holy Spirit then prompted me, "You have to ask him twice and when when you do, look him in the eyes and say again, 'Jeremy, are you hungry.'" Then, my coworker and I followed Jeremy to the break room where he began emptying out the trash can. Then, I asked Jeremy, "Jeremy, are you hungry?" And he said no at first. Then, I did EXACTLY what the Holy Spirit said, and looked Jeremy in the eyes and asked, "Jeremy, are you hungry?" And then he turned around and looked at me and said, "Yes, I dropped my Cheerios allover the living room in my house and I had to leave to go to work. I am very hungry. Thank you so much." I told him that God told me to give him the BEC biscuit. Praise the LORD! I never had a change of heart until I believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Jesus is the Messiah and King of the Jews, King of King's! I also received the Holy Spirit when I believed that Jesus Christ is the Messiah.

How do you know your brain didn’t subconsciously pick up clues that the coworker was hungry? More than likely it was your subconscious brain telling you to give him the food, rather than some miraculous Holy Spirit.

@@scottyp02 the reason why I knew it wasn't me was because I had plans of eating the biscuit myself and the fact the Holy Spirit told me to ask him twice and exactly what to say. The response of Jeremy, the house keeper, was on point when he confirmed that he spilled all his Cheerios on the floor and that he was really upset at not being able to eat breakfast. This is just one story of many! Recently I was told to preach on a day that I had no desire to preach and the Spirit made me not forget the speaker. The Spirit also showed me who to look for, female and one of the two blond hair twins was female. The Spirit also told me not to leave until midnight. Low and behold, met a man who walk one hundred feet past me at midnight and he had a blonde hair twin who had cerebral palsy and was immobilized and confined in a wheelchair. The man was so upset he said, "How could God do this to my daughter", and "how could God do this to our daughter?" If it wasn't for me being at the spot that day with my microphone and at midnight, I would have missed him. He was so baffled that his jaw dropped. I was able to comfort the man by letting him know that God was, in fact, with him. (I gave you the very short version). While I am not led specifically to do things like this everyday, I do them only when prompted to here and there.

Nicholas, actually it is not possible to prove that JEsus is messiah. It _does_ matter what you believe - eternal life - salvation from condemnation for sin - only comes by grace (free gift) through faith (trust) and not of works, so that nobody can boast of their own deeds. The “can’t we all get along” mentality is a sort of fig leaf which drops the second a clear worldview issue comes to the center of the discussion, then it’s no holds barred. Sort of parallels the phenomenon of the “tolerant secular left” also engaging in rioting and vandalism. Push always comes to shove when we’re taking about eternal truth.

R Tee Jesus' promise here is not that all who claim to be believers will be endowed with the power to raise the dead or transmute matter. Nor does Jesus mean to imply that future Christians would have widespread supernatural powers. The following verses include two crucial qualifiers: "asking" and "in My name," clearly indicating that God does not sign a blank check for miraculous power to anyone. In part, this prediction of "works" refers to the early days of the apostles, who were granted miraculous signs (Acts 3:1-6). The idea that anyone could do "greater" works than Jesus also helps explain the context. Scripture not only associates Jesus with miracles in the Gospels, it credits Him with creation itself (John 1:1-3). In terms of power, it's logically impossible to suggest anyone could do something beyond what Jesus accomplished. The meaning, therefore, ought to be taken in some other way. The area where Christians can exceed what Jesus did is not "quality," but "quantity." His earthly ministry lasted only about three years-as He says here, He is soon to end this phase of God's plan. Jesus preached without modern communications, or modern travel technology. In contrast, modern evangelists can spend decades preaching to hundreds of thousands of people. Missionaries can serve the furthest reaches of the globe. As of this writing, this website is accessed by more people every week than lived in Jerusalem during Jesus' era. In a year, some bible-related websites speak to more people than populated the Roman Empire in the first century. Does this answer your question? Now can you come to Christ and accept him as your lord and savior. 🙏🏾

The Help Desk; John 14:6, was not written by Jesus, These words were put into his mouth like he was A Ventriloquist Dummy, in truth the Biblical Jesus never wrote a single word in the Christian New Testament Bible, here is more overwhelming proof that words were put into Jesus's mouth by Christian forgers, The Original Gospel of Mark ended abruptly at Mk.16:8, you will say yours didn't end there, yours goes on for Another twelve verses, if you have a study Bible, look closer, you may find a footnote or a pair of brackets Telling you verses 16:9--20, are not found in the oldest manuscripts, meaning that verses 9 to 20 were Fraudulently place in Mark's Gospel by Christian forgery, Christians love to point to the Jewish Old Testament Bible, claiming prophesy says Jesus is the Messiah, well, according to Jewish scripture, The Messiah must be a descendant of King David, see ( Jeremiah 23:5, & 33:17, Psalm 89:35--37, etc. ) How could Jesus be the Messiah if his biological father wasn't Joseph ? The Gospel of Matthew claim Joseph was the legal father of Jesus by adoption, you can't pass on genealogy by adoption, So the Christian God failed to fullfil the first of seven prophecies that the real Messiah will have to fullfil, beside, The Jewish Bible never ever speaks about believing in the Messiah, and it never ever speaks about a second for the Messiah. Jesus is just another Failed Messiah, throughout Jewish history there are many failed Messiah's read about Shabtai Tzvi, Bar Kochba etc,

@R Tee there are 2 genealogical records of Jesus of Nazareth recorded in Holy Scripture....Luke's is Mary's lineage. Matthew's is Joseph's. The royal line of David is not only passed through Joseph (Jesus legal father) but also physically through Mary's lineage. Both parents are descendants of David. Thus, Jesus of Nazereth has a direct and legal claim to the throne.

@R Tee in light of the fact that the first century Jewish writers of scripture recognized Jesus as the Messiah... As did his Jewish disciples As did the many Jewish Christians who started the church and were persecuted for their faith in Jesus Christ.... 2000 years later, your opinion does not change the validity of His Lordship or void his messianic claim. He was rejected by many, then.... He is still rejected by many, now...

The rabbi was quite unfortunately ill-equipped for the discussion, and had only one tired, wishy-washy, response ("well, we all can get to God, and who are you to say anyone is wrong?") to every literate point that Dr. Brown made.

Why is it so hard for some Jews to believe that Jesus is the Messiah? Did He not liberate them from Rome and conquered their oppressive Romans? Today they are free and I think that is possible because Jesus liberated them from oppression and Roman enslavement. Besides, Jesus is all over the Old Testament as revealed by the prophets of old. He also fulfilled majority of things predicted by them. Some of these predictions are still being fulfilled today.

Following Gods word is important, what one believes is not important. Following the word of God is what leads to salvation. Doing good works is the result of following God, good works does not lead to God.

Wow, Rabbi Romain's worldview seems so superficial and frankly almost childish. I do not know how he could be considered a Jew when he has almost no Jewish beliefs. One wonders if he believes God or in truth. If this is Judaism it's a real embarrassment. Justin needs to find a better Rabbi and redo this discussion.

well, there are many Jewish sects and they don't all believe or practice alike. You'd have to see which one this rabbi espouses to understand his point of view. Some don't even accept that Moses penned the Torah at God's command.
